The football equivalent of selling one's Pets.com stock at $0.01/shares after watching it go from $100/share to $15/share to $1/share.  Eh, right on time.

Has he stood out for his charitable work?

I really don't know, but is he any more involved in the community than loads of other players? Or is this impeccable reputation based on his religious beliefs?

He doesn't belong on an NFL roster. He may make a good coach one day or a good whatever he got his degree in.

The Bills went ahead a made a decision at quarterback that had to be made. Buffalo released QB Nathan Peterman on Monday.

Buffalo had four quarterbacks on the roster after injuries forced them to sign Derek Anderson and then Matt Barkley in the span of a month.

On the heels of an inspiring performance by Barkley in the 41-10 win over the Jets on Sunday, head coach Sean McDermott and GM Brandon Beane made the decision to move on from Peterman, their former fifth round draft pick in 2017.

He won the three-man competition for the starting QB job coming out of a preseason where he was remarkably efficient completing more than 80 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and an interception.

Unfortunately he could never carry that level of play into the regular season.

Peterman appeared and eight games in his time with the Bills making four starts. He completed just over 52 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and 12 interceptions with a passer rating of 32.5.

The bad man can never hurt us again...

Seriously though, I will say this- Nate was a professional and handled himself well, he just seemed to be in the wrong profession.

I hope he lands on his feet, and I would be fine with him getting a job somewhere as a backup for a team that can take advantage of his temperament and brain- if not, I wish him well in whatever he pursues.

Also, if he signs with the Patriots I wish nothing but the lice of a million camels in his jock strap.

Hard to dislike the guy, it just wasn't in the cards for him. On the bright side, he reached his dream, made some decent money and has a couple touchdown passes he can tell his kids about. He'll just have to conveniently ignore the TD: INT ratio.

He threw a bunch of TDs passes. Some were even to us

I could see NE grabbing him just to be trolls. They did have him in for a predraft visit.

More likely I see Jacksonville grabbing him. Doug Marrone and Nate Hackett have no idea what a good quarterback looks like. They had him in for a pre draft workout. He's basically Blake Bortles without any natural talent.

I actually feel bad for Peterman.

The one who led him astray and looks the fool here is McDermott, who truly, and ineptly, thought he could will it to work with Peterman leading the way.

McDermott has nil HC credibility.
