Captain Murica Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Not going to lie it was an awesome game to see live. I was with a few jets fans and they kept saying, “Matt f$&@ing Barkley!!!” 1

He just gave us our first glimpse this year of better than average NFL quarterbacking and people want to bench him. To me, it was fun to watch our qb drop back and actually expect him to complete a forward pass. Obviously, not all agree... Because that's like kicking a FG on 4th and 1 instead of going for it from the opponents 10 yard line.

Now Jay wasn't great in 2016 for Chicago by any stretch but he had some good years with the Bears and was certainly the established starter. Didn't he get benched that year? He only played 5 games in 2016. Edited November 13, 2018 by jrober38
Charles Romes Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Barkley's performance has made him virtually unaffordable. He went from veteran minimum street free agent to top tier backup range $5M plus. He is going to have to play at least one more full game so we can afford to sign him.

You're right, that is amazing. Too bad the camera didn't get it. Would be a pretty cool moment for the football world to see and imagine Pancho seeing that live or on his TV. Also it kind of makes sense for how hard he went trying to get that first TD, where he got a little reckless. But he was maybe trying extra hard to score for Pancho. #11 is good in my book.
