Came in at 313.7 per game, Jville was at about the same and the Ravens were at 305.

the 199 yards yielded to the Jets put us at 302 for the season.

Jags have given up at least 366 to Indy.

Congrats Bills D!

EDIT:  You wouldn't even be at number 1, Ravens, if it wasn't for our game with you!

:P

Edit 2:  Bills were only 40 or so total yards ahead of the ravens, and the Bills gave up 63 more yards than Baltimore: 313-247.

Yeah, sure. And how many chickens do you have sitting inside those egg shells in the hen house? :P

Just bustin’. Good job by the D.

About time the O showed up and helped out.

And what that doing for their record?

Oh it’s wasted, but still...Number 1 in the entire League is something to be proud of for the D.

Edit: would you prefer they not be number 1? ?

Well, considering almost all of this defense is coming back next year, it’s a good thing.

OK kids, this what happens during a rebuild, it's painful at times I know! Players start emerging and positive sins indicate some good things are happening; throwing temper tantrums and screaming fire everybody not good! Still some tough times ahead though kids!

The #1 defense with an average offense can still be dominant. The problem this season is our offense has been disgustingly bad. Today it was pretty good, not great but pretty good, and combined with a dominant defense it gave us a blowout win.

Today was obviously the aberration for this offense, but for the defense to be atop the league in yards given up considering the overall sucktitude of the O in 80% of the games is pretty amazing. McDermott can coach defense.

And they are doing it without a bunch of high priced, big name stars.

Bodes well for the future, especially when we are (hopefully) paying Josh Allen big money.

This is the 4th or 5th time the Bills held an opponent to under 300 yards and 2nd straight where they held the opponent to under 200...in today's NFL that is pretty damn impressive.

The D looked great today.  I said in another thread that Shaq Lawson seems to be coming into his own and that bodes well for the future as well.

Shaq was solid against the run before, people didn't' give him the credit he deserved because his sack numbers weren't there yet.  It takes time for defensive lineman to adjust.  It's a major adjustment going from college offensive lineman to NFL offensive lineman.  He has found his place in this defense and he needs to stay healthy the rest of the year and keep playing this well to cement it moving forward.  I like the kid a lot but he needs to stay on the field.  Many thought he was on his way out but it looks like he may be staying for a while now.
