Will be interesting debates until after the bye. I'm for Allen playing but you can see the Barkley argument as well.

If Barkely completes this game the way he is playing, then the Bills will have to play him until they are mathematically eliminated from the Playoffs.

Nope that's just how defenses have to play now. You can't touch the receiver before the ball it gets there. It is immensely more difficult to defend a pass in the modern NFL - it's why a receiver like Tyreek Hill is leading the league instead of ending up on IR. Peterman could have been the beneficiary of these rules but he sucks.

My point is if Peterman threw that and it was picked off instead of completed you all would be blaming Peterman. A lot of his INTs weren't even bad throws and instead terrible luck.

Barkley throws a 50/50 ball that has a better chance at being intercepted but because the DB messes up it goes as a long catch and he gets praised.

People look at the result of the play instead of looking at the actual throw.

Peterman has a lot of INTs where his receivers completely screwed him.

Barkley is getting lucky that the receivers are catching these 50/50 balls and had 2 other INTs dropped (funny how since it doesn't go in the stats people will ignore it). And he's actually had WRs running wide open most of the day because the Jets defense blows compared to the Bears.

The assumption was Barkley would hold the fort to the bye for Allen. Now what do you do?

Have to stay with Barkley after this imo.  This game he has looked like a legit nfl QB, and something Josh may can learn from that's positive....unlike Peterman or Anderson.  And I dont blame either of those qbs

Except he has proven he is not.

Allen is the future. He plays when healthy. Keep Barkley and cut Peterman and Anderson. Add a developmental TE and DE to take their spots.

This is his 7th NFL start. He has not had time to prove anything?

The way Allen has played this season you can not justify starting him against her jags after Barkley’s game. Allen sits until Barkley sucks.

Allen should not have played as early as he did. He needs to sit and learn.

People need to remember that Matt Barkley was at one time viewed as the top QB in the nation and a sure fire first round pick.

Not crazy to think that he can’t be a decent starter or a good backup.

And he's only 28....he could be a very good backup for some time. I know after today Peterman is as good as gone but it will be interesting to see what happens to Anderson?

Watching Barkley run this offense he should get the start against the Jags and let Allen sit.

Don't see the harm, especially if Beane said he wanted JA behind a competent vet all along. He appears to have one! Lol.

Tough call for me, I want to know what both these guys are going to be as soon as possible.

We don’t need math in this scenario
