To all the tough guys who say, "If he's healthy, Josh should start," how about we give the kid a couple more weeks, what with the bye coming up. Last thing he needs is to be rushed out there at less than a 100%. It's not like they need a win to get to the SB.

According to Sal C. this afternoon, everything he sees and hears within the organization says that if Josh Allen can play on Sunday, he is playing.  That is the absolute priority, according to Sal.

I.E., OBD is not adopting a "no rush" policy designed to bring Allen back safely after the bye-week.

Based on their decisions so far, they will probably start Allen despite him being only 90% ready, and then he'll re-injure the elbow, such that he's out for the season.  That'd be my guess.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and they will let him sit a couple more weeks.

McDermott cannot make an offensive decision to save his life! This is getting ridiculous!!! A starting QB only getting 33% of first team work Friday before the week 10 game!

They know who’s starting.

If Allen is not ready to go, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things whether it's Peterman or Barkley.  Whoever McDermott things will be better at getting the ball into the hands of receivers is fine with me.  I'm not into tanking, but the actual win is less important than the players finding a way to play capably on offense.

I don’t agree with this. Going forward and certainly beyond this season, Peterman is useless. He will never matter, he shouldn’t still be here now and the fact that he has been allowed to be in position to play multiple times this season is a borderline crime. Barkley however could end up being a guy that can be our backup for the rest of this year and next year. Barkley is a veteran but still young. He could potentially be a long term backup. He could also be terrible, but the point is we don’t know. We do however know about Peterman and nobody with a brain ever wants to see him again. Barkley starting is sensible. Peterman starting is beyond senseless.

Lost in all this is why the F is Mcdummy splitting first team reps between three guys at this point in the season??

If Allen is ready, let him practice and start him. Otherwise, pick one of the other turds and let them get all the reps they can!

Allen is limited, meaning he is not yet ready for full practice reps. But he could be ready by game day. Don't know unless you try him out.

And honestly, does it make a difference? Will the offense be miraculously good of they have Peterman take all the reps?

OK.  I can agree to disagree.  What I can't agree with is the notion that anyone who disagrees with your position must lack a brain.

If he’s not ready for full practice, he shouldn’t play in the game.

Did he not learn from preseason about splitting reps between 3 guys?  Just make a decision and move on.

Dude it's dumb. Be decisive on if you want guaranteed loss Peterman, wildcard doesn't know the playbook Barkley (WHO COULD USE A FEW PRACTICE SNAPS) or banged up rookie you don't really need to start.

Play Barkley it's ****ing Friday

I don’t ever want to hear somebody say McDermott knows what he’s doing again.

I'm sorry his magical healing powers arent working this week. Must be something with Mercury out of alignment.

We're talking about the worst NFL quarterback ever. Barkley is far from the worst. But the other dude is on the roster possibly starting.. let's lose with a bit a dignity for Pete(erman)'s sake
