The Founders intended for what Jefferson called a "natural aristocracy" comprised of the best, brightest, and most successful to answer a temporary calling to service.

They most certainly weren't intending for underachieving 29 year old bartenders whom have been educated beyond their capacity to learn, and without the financial means or forethought to plan for a three month span without income, to take up seats in Congress.

Which would be illegal.

Sadly, she is probably among the best and brightest in her area. Of course, optically.  Behind the scenes it'll be unveiled she is bigly backed.

She’ll just “move in” with a (new) we’ll-heeled boy/girlfriend who will be paying all the bills and accepting her I.O.U.s for her “share” of the expenses (that she’ll never payback).

Shes a grifter fer Christ sakes, along the line (and it’s a long, long line) of the Clinton’s and other “Progressives.”

Wasn't she just scrutinized for wearing a $6K designer outfit or something along those lines?

You expect her to look nice for a photo shoot AND have the rent money?

I'm not sure she's an idiot though I worked with a LOT of bartenders over the years who had a brain the size of a walnut.  However I DO know who the idiots are.  Those that elected a bartender to Congress.  Seriously??

Millennial. She shouldn't have to pay rent.  Healthcare is bad enough.

Is a reality star a step up or step down from a bartender?

I'll give her credit for hinesty, in that she hasn't done it yet.

It's going to be fun, watching the system beat the idealism out of this dingbat.

And you know it will happen. I'm personally not looking forward to it.

I think she's very bright but politically naive. That's a recipe for shattered dreams in Congress.

I hope she runs against Nancy for SOTH.

She can certainly do it, unlike Nancy, Ocasio Cortez isn't afraid to make the bid declarations; like last week, she insisted she won't rest until everyone who wants it can get tuition free admission to Electoral College!

She's a fighter, this one is!

What in the world would make you think that she is bright?

Her ability to articulate certain positions that appeal to 'progressives' like myself, but aren't particularly palatable to the voting public.

She has an economics degree and when asked how we pay for the extra 38 trillion dollars for Medicare for all for the next 10 years she says, "we'll write a check".

She has the intellect of a South Carolina Beauty Queen.

How intelligent do you have to be to articulate a position that we all should get everything for free?
