Lots of talk about the new asylum standards released today...

...oh, wait, everyone's ignoring that.  All the talk is about Trump's tweets.

Every time he tweets like this, the first question I ask is "What is he distracting attention from?"

Democrats: working every day to ensure all Americans can thrive and prosper by spending countless hours pointing fingers and standing in useless judgement.

I am crying... he has them jumping in so many directions they have no idea what to do.

But it is nice to see they are all one big party coalescing under the umbrella of Democratic Socialism. That will make for some interesting voting choices in 2020. ?

A little tough when she couldn't offer a resolution on just anti-semitism in her own party.

Why, it's almost as if the Congressional perspective on offensive speech is a mere partisan football to be punted when your side is in the wrong.

I saw that too... it’s an interesting theory... he knows the news cycle is going to paint him in a negative light (does it ever not) so he builds a rabbit hole for the dems to fall into on the way to the true story...

It is kinda funny if you read this thread going back a few pages. There seems to be three camps:

1) "Rayyyyyycccccist" because #OrangeManBad
2) Trump being Trump
3) Higher plan

And reading those media articles linked here and elsewhere, the media also are divided into the same three camps.  (I am in camp 3 as I think he stirred the pot for a reason.)

No real point to this post, just an observation

4. Racist because it's racist

How about racist because it is racist and vile and not because of of who said it.

I mean at some point can anything  or anyone on this board does not agree 100% with Trump and not be branded OrangeManBad or TDS?  Be the same as brading all Trump sypporters Nazi's .

How about we disagree with his some of his ideas, and tons of the way he communicates..and agree with other stuff he has done. Or do we all just have to kneel at the altar of Trump( or the Dems in Tibs case)  and be afraid that if criticize or disagree with party/leader, that does not make us weaker.

That’s really a gross mischaracterization of many on this board who routinely admit when trump does things that are off base- many even who have said they don’t like the flavor of this specific tweet. It’s not blind homerism to argue that it’s not racist, and you haven’t provided a single reason that it is. You bailed out of our other conversation ala Humperdinck and the battle to “The Pain.” And you haven’t logically explained why it’s racist. Just because people are shouting that it is, doesn’t mean it is.

Again, go back to the original three tweets (I posted them several times in  this thread) and please tell me what was written that was "racist".

I understand you are hearing a dog whistle, but honestly? There simply isn't anything racist in his tweets.

In what way is it racist?

He doesn’t mention race, or disparage anyone over race, or speak negatively about racial attributes.  He doesn’t even do that over nationality, or nation of origin.

”Racism” means something specific.

Telling someone to go back to where they’re from (Somalia) if they think America is such a bad place is incredibly stupid politically, and beneath the Office he serves in, but it’s not racist.  I mean, for Pete’s sake; I’ve been told to move to Somalia literally hundreds of times over my political views.

Are you sure they didn’t mean move to salmonella, as in, eat raw chicken and die? Seems more appropriate for political dissidents.

Was Pelosi really stupid enough to make that comment?

Please tell me this is a hoax.

Hard to imagine she's getting in line with AOC and her shrills.
