Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Tech's coach is really impressive. There was no mystery about UB.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Wow... THEY had 25 at 1/2 and only 44 times with 5 left. This went south in quick BFLo fashion! 1

Boatdrinks Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Embarrassing effort for the Bulls all the way around. Pretty meek exit after a great season.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 That was pretty pathetic. Next year, hope we're bringing in length and strength.
K-9 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Tough way for seniors to go out, but hats off to the Bulls on a great season. And hats off to Texas Tech as well, a well coached and terrific defensive team. They’re gonna be a tough out. 1
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Tech is tough but UB did it to themselves too. Still proud of them. Women put up more of a fight in Storrs but also fell to No.2 UConn tonight.
May Day 10 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Everything i read and heard said texas tech was a nightmare 2nd round match up. So much so, i took them in the final 4 or later in every bracket i filled out.
zow2 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 The egg was laid. But I’ll give Texas Tech a ton of credit for that. They were as good as advertised on D. I think they’ll beat Michigan.
ricojes Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Texas Tech was the better team. UB did not play well, but they were beat down by a better team. Great season, lot's of fun... 1
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Nice welcome home. Still a season to be proud of.
May Day 10 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I would say this team performed right where they were supposed to.... which is pretty lofty, especially considering the number of 1st round wins in the last 50 years of WNY basketball history. They crushed a team from a power 5 conference, and also sat down the coach who spurned them. Outstanding season record, won on the road at Syracuse and West Virginia (although that one isnt quite as impressive any more). Won the MAC. Were ranked in the top 25 for nearly the entire season. Pretty awesome. They were hoping to get to Sweet 16. Fell short, but they ran into a buzz saw team, Ranked 9th in the country (i think), playing close to home. More importantly, the team percolated into the consciousness of WNY sports fans. They started to show strong attendance, even when students were between semesters. A couple more good seasons and we could see this really take hold/root. 2
