plenzmd1
I must confess, I always read the title of this forum as Politics, Prose, Pundits. Politics and Prose is a great bookstore in the District, so it is prolly stuck in my brain. Having said that, and understanding this may not be the right place, has anyone read any books by Elaine Pagels? This review has me intrigued and most likely buying the book. https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/books/after-her-son-and-husband-died-elaine-pagels-wondered-why-religion-survives/2018/11/06/83e2fb24-e1da-11e8-8f5f-a55347f48762_story.html?utm_term=.37338bacc4c8 Be interesting to get anyone's opinion if they have read any of her other books. I do not read much "religious" books per se, but have enjoyed many Thomas Merton books as well as many books on more Eastern religions back in da day. Please do not bash the WAPO and their politics, truly am looking to hear what yall think about her previous books. DC Tom
https://www.amazon.com/Coming-Third-Reich-History-Book-ebook/dp/B0023SDQGW Book 1 of Evans' "Third Reich Trilogy." Seriously, skip Shirer...if you want to understand what the Nazis were and weren't, and how they came to power, read this and book 2. Also read Tooze. I won't give the title, just to ***** with The_Dude.
