Dabol had little to work with and did the best he could with Peterman's limited arsenal. correct, which means he didn't play well....he just didn't play horribly but you expect your QB to make everyone better .....they just tried to limit the damage and play not to lose 1

At least Anderson threw it down field. As for the above and Peterman making the reads, he thus had time and still threw only short passes. For 20 plus years now decent QBs don't read, they have set plays and on the fly tinker with the play at the last second if they see it is necessary.

When they played Green Bay they had Allen drop back 39 times to 16 hand offs. Not to mention the WRs are not all that great. Not to make excuses but the coaching needs help. So in the NFL it seems the further behind you are the more you need to throw. But usually it’s with the expectation your YPA is much better than YPC. in this case both were below 4.... which isn’t good

apuszczalowski Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 So the previous QB took care of not turning over the ball, didnt put up a ton of passing yards or points but was the starter when the team would win (with worse defensive play) is run out of town and thought to be one of the worst QBs ever. Peterman turns the ball over regularly, whether you want to give him credit or not for the INTs the ball is still ending up in the defenses hands after he throws it, doesnt put up much passing yards or points and with an improved defence cant get wins when he starts, but we all need to see more of him so the Bill's dont give up on a 5th round pick QB whose upside when drafted was "backup at best". You just really cant give up on those day 3 picks too soon.......

Pats have the D petrified at Brady's throwing game, always on the watch for literally anything from 1 to 60 yards on any down off his arm the D is happy to see the run game you aren't seriously going to compare our Bills to the Pats, are you?????

No comparison. Just pointing out establishing a balanced attack is a successful strategy. The reasons teams throw way more than run are: 1) can’t establish a run 2) fallen too far behind

Teams do have to establish a running game to help with down and distance and to establish play action, but good offenses always pass more than they run and it's not because they can't establish the run or they fall behind. It's because the rules make it easy to throw the ball now and the passing game picks up chunk yardage and chunk yardage is how you reliably score points.

kbarrettb Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 He had a QBR of 8.7 and a QB rating of 45.4 For context Mitch Trubisky who didn't have a great or good day had a QBR of 48.8 QB rating 76 This is insane to think Peterman played well. But hey people are fan bois for a reason.

Fadingpain Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 No one has completed as many passes as Nate did against Chicago for as few yards SINCE 1950. Other than that, he did a great job!

You are wrong about why teams pass more, just own up to it and move on.
