People on this board complain about a 7 and 9 record. For years people say either make the playoffs or tank and pick too 5.

No joke, read this crap for years and now the same people who complained about a mediocre finish are the same who are complaining we are so bad. Guys the process has always been code word for tank. Yes this has been a brutal season but that has been the plan

I hear ya.  The only issue is tanking is great when you need a QB.  You tank to get an Andrew luck.  But now we have Allen.  So what are we tanking for now?  Bosa...Oliver...an olinemen?  Trading down? Tanking just isnt very exciting unless your doing it to get a top QB.  That's just my opinion.

45 years with this team

6 great years with Kelly 88-93

about 6 very good years combined in the other 39

the rest have been trash

nothing new here

at least we have our memories of 88-93

Super insightful comment here.

I don’t think people are upset that we are bad. Any idiot can tear a team down. People seem upset because it doesn’t appear the current regime is going to be able to build it back up.

anything can happen in sports, they have to appear to be trying though, starting with this offseason, the coaching regime gets 2 more years to show something

And that's the huge assumption. There is no reason at all to believe that the current regime can't build this team back up.

BOOM! That's exactly the point. This regime has done nothing on the offensive side of the ball to even inspire a glimmer of hope. When your OC is on his 5th try and has never had a top #20 offense, that raises a red flag. When we recount the decisions made on the offense (several notable threads have done this) that's another red flag. When the coaches can't field consistent special teams-- *RED FLAG*  When players can't line up properly and commit pre-snap penalties regularly- you got it-- RED FLAG.

I could ramble on and on, pointing out each flag, but the picture below is how I see the FO marching into Pegula's office. Talking about Russian interference, the Bills have been compromised.

Especially since they have already proven they can get us to the playoffs.

People have completely forgotten about last year. Coming in and getting a talent starved team to the playoffs in year 1 is incredibly impressive.

New coaches, new schemes, many new players, new GM...

Exactly.  They drafted Allen.  Give them time to see what he can do.  I know this season is bad but McD took this team to the playoffs his first year.  I know people get sick of hearing it but he did.  And now half way threw he second year people already want him fired.  We know he can build a good defense let's see what they can do to get the offense going.

Exactly, I am more worried about their ability to build an offence than their record. We could have another 10 points a game and still be 2-7.

No reason? They completely mishandled our QB situation and appear to not have the slightest clue about building a competent offense.

Nobody has forgotten anything. Chip Kelly got the Eagles to the playoffs his first year then continued tearing it down and made the team significantly worse. The honeymoon is over.

It kinda goes far beyond that I’m afraid. You can have a good QB but it doesn’t excuse having Mike Tolbert running routes on 3rd and long with a Shady on the sideline. That’s inexcusable.

the bills insisted on option QBs for the prior set of starters, now they are finally going after a drop back and throw QB, but it takes time

look at all the years swirling down the toilet wasted on EJ and TT
