McD - we do have wins, although they are not always on the scoreboard. Saw some Bills style football yesterday

Hey, we won the off season just a few years back.

True—Rexy built us a real “bully” until we took the field. We also had Santa Clause, aka Rob Ryan, as a defensive wizard which was great. What rotten coaching luck we’ve had through the years!

WHO CARES DUDE!  Beane...BEANE...BEANE is our GM NOW.  Not McD, Not Whaley...BEANE.  This rebuild is going to be led by him.  So stop reveling in the past as if its also the present, because its NOT.

And Beane did a hell of a job in his first draft grabbing Allen, Edmunds, Taron, and Phillips.  Our HC is NOT our GM...repeat, our HC is NOT our GM.  Amazing how hard that is for some people to process.

The HC set this franchise back 10 years by not picking Mahomes or Watson.

And you're giving Beane credit for picking Allen, who has shown no ability so far that he'll be a franchise QB.

Edmunds is good, Johnson is a decent player, and so far Phillips is just a guy. The rest of the draft hasn't produced anything.

You're celebrating a draft that might have only brought us 1 starting player as if it was amazing. I don't get that.

Ok, I know some of the guys on WGR are going off on the Bills staff for saying "buffalo bills football" means "cold weather, winning the line of scrimage, playing in the wind", etc.....but...I have to say I agree with the WGR hosts...I am so sick of hearing that from the Bills and their coaches/management.

If the weather is THAT big of an issue that you THINK you need to play football differently from most of the other successful teams....then just build a dome.  However, Even in the 'terrible' Buffalo weather (how many bad games a year here anyway? 2???), other teams have done well passing on bad conditions.

I do know there are some people out there (some of my family members) that say...they don't care what anyone says...you still win football with Defense and a running game...run and stop the run.  But as others have said, I just don't like watching that kind of football. Its boring to me...at least when you know there are options of play out there like what the Rams, Saints, and Cheifs are doing this year.

If you really REALLY want to run the ball more than anyone else..do it out of the spread formation.  Because right now...I don't want to see anymore 4 yard runs where the ball is handed off, the back goes right into the back of the O-line..and the whole pile pushes/falls forward for that 4 yard gain.

Sorry, but you are just being biased now.  Allen has shown some real flashes DESPITE having NOTHING to work with.  Taron and Phillips are some nice young players who are showing promise.  Edmunds is a stud in the making.  Getting those 4 guys in his first draft is impressive, especially considering he had to make 2 trades in the first round to do so and didn't give up ANY additional firsts to do it.  At this point and time, the draft looks quite promising.  Only time will tell, but I am quite happy with the draft.  The only people who aren't are mostly the ones who decided Allen was a bust before we drafted him.

And you forget we got Tre out that trade down.  So if Allen hits, then we did pretty well for ourselves getting a franchise QB and Elite corner.

If they wanted to throw the ball they should have picked Pat Mahomes, ie the guy who threw for 11,000 yards in college and did everything better than Josh Allen as a prospect.

Trubisky got a real HC. Maybe Allen needs the same type of change.

I wanted the Bills to draft Mahomes last year. They didn't. They took a physical talent the next year in Josh Allen and hope that he develops. But let's not get carried away. Mahomes is playing for a much more talented and developed team than he would be playing with if he were in Buffalo. If Mahomes was playing behind our line and throwing to our receivers he would be a shadow of what he is in KC.

Someone please tell me the the full context of this quote will make it look less like the “WTF” comment it appears to be on the surface.  My biggest concern is that he’s selling the same garbage to that locker room.

That is all I have found so far...We also have this gem

in response to shady not talking during the week or after the game:

"LeSean's going to do what he needs to do. If that burden needs to follow me, I've got big enough shoulders to handle it," McDermott says when asked about team captain LeSean McCoy not speaking with the media Sunday -- leaving the coach and his teammates to do it. #Bills

McDermott has really fooled a lot of people here in Buffalo.

Then don't come in the thread...

Also yes, I was a tanker once I saw last year what were were doing, this includes this past offseason. There are lots of questions regarding if this Front Office and Coaching staff can identify and develop talent and also what their vision actually is. The results on the field, and what is said or not said during press conferences does not exactly exude confidence in their "abilities". Also, "abilities" in is quotes because I am not even sure what their "abilities" are at this point.

Lets take a step back here. I read this as McD seeing his guys keep fighting and grinding it out. "Buffalo football" like he preaches.

I don't know watching the press conference what I got was him saying there were some good things on the defense and they need to get more good things going on the Offense.

This is where I'm at, or have been at the past couple weeks. Lost interest until Allen gets back to "hopefully" see at least some development/progression.

I don't think Allen is going to hit.

I didn't see any flashes from him. At best he completed throws any NFL starting QB should be expected to complete and at his worst he didn't look like he belonged on the field.

I think you're counting your chickens before they actually hatch.

Mahomes is a stud.

If we offered the Chiefs Allen, White, Edmunds, Phillips and Johnson for Mahomes, they'd laugh in our face.

GET OVER MAHOMES.  He has NOTHING to do with the guy NOW building this team.  Beane is leading this rebuild, he did NOT pass on Mahomes or Watson.  First thing he did was get us in position to draft a top QB prospect in his first draft.

And I guess you didn't watch Goff play his rookie year or Trubisky play his rookie year.  They both looked awful, everyone in LA was piling on Goff as much as you are piling on Allen.  People questioned if he even had a strong enough arm to play in the league.  Rams rebuild OL and completely gut and rebuild WR's in ONE offseason and Goff makes a major leap.  Same with Trubisky, who threw just 7 TDs as a rookie in almost a full season.  Everyone was looking at the Bears like they wasted all those picks to move up ONE spot when they could have KEPT them and taken Mahomes or Watson.

The fact you think you are qualified to declare Allen a bust right now is hilarious.  You, just like me, have no idea if he will or won't bust.  To judge the kid on just a couple games playing on an offense with no talent to help him is absurd.  And to say he showed no flashes is just your opinion to fill your agenda of him being a bust.

I am not expecting people to just look at him with rose colored glasses, but so many have just flat out decided he will fail.  No surprise, mostly the same people who loved Rosen too, which is a guy having a bad year and leading that offense no where despite having more talent to work with than Allen.

What teams would take this, sub Mahommes for their current starting QB...

Serious question.
