BuffaloHokie13 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Is stating the truth, that yesterday was not Peterman's worst game, really defending him? He had a sub 200 yard, 0 TD, 3 INT game with a rushing TD. The fact that they acknowledge it wasn't his worst game seems like a good thing, because he's usually worse than that somehow. 1
Billsfan1972 Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) Does it matter, he was terrible and helped the team in no way. If that is the bar we set as fans, so be it. Edited November 5, 2018 by Billsfan1972
Peter Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 I am not going to get into the Peterman discussion. As for Tasker, I realized that he is not exactly an unbiased observer when he started pushing the narrative that AJ refused to be a back up QB for the Bills. Not only did that not make any sense at the time he said that during their radio show, Beane even contradicted that recently.
The_Dude Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Peterman had an average game.... Not for an NFL QB, but for a Bills QB.
Wayne Arnold Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Peterman averaged 6.1 yards per completion vs. the Bears. An NFL record low. People blame Peterman for that - but what does it say for the receivers he’s throwing to when there is no YAC whatsoever.

Croom 23 of 26 YAC, Ivory 20 yards all YAC.....

Or dropped long balls that hit receivers in the hand, some for Interceptions after. The dropped TD alone would have drastically boosted his stats.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Paid Bills employees, trying to make the Bills look good? What a bunch of *****.
billsfan_34 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) OP- Did you watch/listen to the entirety of that portion of the show? They were not defending Peterman, just pointing out the offense as a whole is one huge mess- they said it wasnt his worst game and the problems run much deeper. It isnt like they said lets start him the rest of the season and groom him. I am not a Peterman fan and also thinks he isnt an NFL QB- the offense yesterday across the board was brutal. Earlier one person called and explained the 26 points Peterman should have put up yesterday. He was bad yesterday, but that was his best game as a Bill. A lot of people here don't seem to understand that Murph and Tasker are paid by the Bills to represent the team in a positive light and in fact, function as an arm of the Bills PR department. Do you expect them to tell the truth? Peterman is a joke, he would find employment on no other roster in the league, and the fact that he is still playing for the Bills is an embarrassment. There's the truth. You probably won't hear Murph comment on that though.
keepthefaith Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) You only have to look as far back as 3 weeks ago to see that the Dolphins beat the Bears with Osweiler throwing 32 passes of less than 10 yards and scored 31 points. Their WR's had a ton of yards after the catch. Given the lack of the Bills WR corps ability to get open, it's not a stretch to think that the Bills braintrust determined that a short passing game was the way to go no matter which Buffalo QB played. Not defending Peterman's role on this team but the guy played a decent game yesterday in the context of the game plan which was obviously a short passing game. He played with some grit and determination and didn't make a bunch of mistakes. Some yes but he was mostly sound, his best game and his first complete game as a Bill. I'd wager that today the locker room is mostly supportive of his game yesterday. 12 minutes ago, Fadingpain said: Peterman is a joke, he would find employment on no other roster in the league, and the fact that he is still playing for the Bills is an embarrassment. You'll have a great chance to be wrong on this. Peterman will likely move on from the Bills and he'll be on a roster next year. Watch and see. Edited November 5, 2018 by keepthefaith
