Skins Malone Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) Hey guys. First I'm not saying this is a bad situation or that it won't work... But I was wondering if you guys know of any situations like the Bill's have. Where a coach is hired first and then hand picks his GM? It just seems very unique but maybe I'm just ignorant and dont know that this does happen. Edited November 5, 2018 by Skins Malone 1
Skins Malone Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 Damn no responses. Maybe this wasnt a good thread lol.
BillsVet Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Seattle Seahawks. Carroll was hired as HC and he essentially hired John Schneider to be GM. While it's collaborative, Carroll has the control over personnel. 1

Augie Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 It’s just a painful night. Not a surprising lack of response, but a very fair question.

Didnt know that about the Seahawks Youll occasionally see it with an established coach i think its very unique in being such a green coach and of course the timeline of it coming together months later post-draft
