OrediggerPoke Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 The Bills don't need a top 3 pick. They need multiple 1st and 2nd round picks to build a competent offensive line. If Bills can get a top pick and trade down for multiple picks that would be ideal.
Fan in San Diego Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Keep starting Peterman and we will be 2 and 14

Maybe turn off the commentary and put on some music and make it like inside the NFL circa mid 80s on HBO. ;o)

One of the worst seasons in Bills history, Kelly still playing in the USFL, Knox walking away due to issues with Ralph. The AFC East title in 1980 and playoff birth in 1981 were distant memories. Bruce Matheson at QB. That horrific season ended with the Bills with a lot of picks of which they turned into Hall of Fame DE Bruce Smith, Hall of Fame WR Andre Reed and quality back-up QB Frank Reich. The demise of the USFL led to many more quality additions and a not so disimilar situation in having 91 Million in cap space is nearing. Meaningless wins in this lost season so nothing to help the future, the critical loss of one spot in the draft cost the Bills the opportunity to get LB Patrick Willis and later Luke Keachly. I want to lose out to get the best player available regardless of position, then supplement free agency with picks for defined need. History should teach us that it's easier to rise to the top after you have sunk to the bottom. Comments are welcome of course. Agree that we are in tear down / rebuild mode in 2018 / 2019 seasons. Bills rebuilt WR and DL overnight in 1985 draft. I agree OBD should draft best player available at top of board. Just a minor correction that 1984 was 2 years after Knox left, Kay Stephenson went 8-8 in 1983 after taking over then went 2-14 in 1984. Bruce Mathison was not a Bill in 1984 - he split 1985 QB duties with Vince Ferragamo. In 1984 Joe Ferguson started 11 games in his last year as a Bill and then the other Joe, Joe Dufek started 5. Bills went 2-14 to clinch top pick in draft in 1984. They did manage to beat Cowboys 14-3 at home that year. They started 1985 0-4, Stephenson was fired and Hank Bullough took over as Head Coach. He went 2-10 balance of 1985 and got canned after going 2-7 in 9 games in 1986 (with Kelly at QB). On came Marv and the rest became history. Edited November 6, 2018 by freddyjj

I guarantee that that quarterback will become a Hall of Famer, and Allen will suck. Somehow the Giants will pick Hetbert #1 and he'll go on to have a HOF career. The same 8 teams get to win every decade. The rest schedule filler.
