John from Riverside Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 (edited) The bills are doing exactly what they are trying to do get a top 5 pick in this next draft i don’t like how bad they look on offense either but the fact is they are trying to avoid overpaying for free agents in the offseason to fix this mess you do that by drafting high because less of a chance to screw it up This season is LOST it was always going to be LOST if you can get your mind wrapped around that it will help with your sanity It does not matter if you lose by 1 or 100 a loss is a loss This team is tanking so it can acquire blue chip talent and not have to pay for it they are going to target specific free agents and draft at the big money positions be patient Edited November 5, 2018 by John from Riverside 11 3 11

Rc2catch Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Contracts factor into this some as well I believe. Helps for sure having the top paid skill positions on rookie deals.
Augie Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 You're right. People will NOT want to hear that. ? 3

Exactly correct, and it could be a disaster if Beane panics and overpays a bunch of average guys. Draft well, make solid FA choices and don't burn up your capital in one year. It's going to take a few years to fix this mess. 1
Coach Tuesday Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Yes, getting blown out at home is exactly what the Bills were aiming for. 1 4

Boatdrinks Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Nah, a loss is not a loss... Losing the way the Bills are isn’t exactly what they wanted, far from it. It’s the type of thing that shows no competence, gives no hope for the future. Instead of plugging one or two or even three holes, the vast majority of the offense needs to be replaced. Right up to the OC. These coaches do think about their reputations and their jobs, you know. This is the kind of thing that gets people fired , calling friends and basically scrapping for some assistant position to stay in the league. A team on the cusp that just can’t finish is a much easier fix than an all time disaster schitt show like we are witnessing. This team is miles away, even if Josh Allen is decent. 3 1
