ajzepp Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Not since 2001, bro, overall. Now please go away. 285012 TD has only been here since 2001 you idiot lol. If you go back more than four years with the Pats then they have more drafts from which to have found starters.......
ajzepp Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 TDs offensive starters since 2001: Losman McGahee Evans Jennings Henry Williams That doens't even include the pick used on Bledsoe. I'd say TD has done a much better job since he's been here than the Pats.
San-O Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 http://www.nfl.com/teams/depthcharts/NESeven of New Englands offensive starters were drafted by them, three after round 2. ================================================ http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=playerbio&bio=571 http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=playerbio&bio=566 http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...erbio&bio=12370 Eight of New Englands defensive starters were drafted by them, don 't have rounds. That's 15 drafted starters, we have 8. 285001 More information. At least three of the eight defensive starters drafted after round two: http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=playerbio&bio=153 http://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?ac=...erbio&bio=23745 To sum this up, New England has drafted fifteen (15) of their starters, at least six after round two (2) We have drafted eight (8) of our starters, offense/ defense combined, with one (1) drafted after round two. Pretty stark contrast.

todd Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Do me a favor and tell me why it is important what round you draft your starters in? The important thing is drafting starters, right?

ajzepp Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 What about drafted starters since 2001 all rounds. 285052 The Pats drafts since 2001 haven't been as impressive as you think. I'd take ours over theirs any day.
LabattBlue Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I agree that you would think that sooner or later TD would find that diamond in the rough in the later rounds of the draft, but I'll give him credit in that he had a lot of success with UDFA's last year. M. Baker, J. Greer, J. Peters, S. Williams & C. Ritzmann were all on the active roster at one point or another last year.
