OldTimeAFLGuy Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) Are hits, injuries weighing on Derek Carr's mind? Paul Gutierrez ESPN Staff Writer -9/13/18 ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Remember when Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was seen as a gunslinger in the mold of ultimate maverick Brett Favre? Carr, whose No. 4 jersey was inspired by Favre, never saw an eye of a needle he didn't want to thread. Never believed there was a throw he could not make. Never shied away from, well, gunning the ball into double or triple coverage. That was before the fractured pinkie on his passing hand. Before the fractured right fibula. Before the three broken bones in his back. Injuries all suffered within a 10-plus-month period from Nov. 27, 2016, to Oct. 1, 2017. Human nature being what it is, and given what can be perceived as conservative play, would you blame Carr if the injuries are weighing on his mind a tad? http://www.espn.com/blog/oakland-raiders/post/_/id/21983/are-hits-injuries-weighing-on-derek-carrs-mind Edited November 2, 2018 by OldTimeAFLGuy

The Lamonica era Raiders were a damn good football organization, despite Al Davis. This era's s*** show doesn't deserve mention as a viable and professional organization. * As for Carr? No, he cries. THERE'S NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL!!
78thealltimegreat Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 David Carr right now might be the worst established starting QB in football

JMF2006 Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 NO. I wouldn't even give up next years 2nd. I bet he goes somewhere for a 3rd or 4th because of that albatross contract.
Beast Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 That depends. Will the Raiders be willing to supply us with a lifetime supply of mascarra for him to wear? If not, I am only willing to give up a 7th. 1
