They are 4-3 and have looked a bit uneven this year but in general have a really good defense. They lost to Osweiler but have really good stats. Their D kind of reminds me of the Bills. Obviously we all know about Mack , though he’s been hobbled lately. They just lost their best OL Kyle Long for 6-8 weeks which could be interesting. But they have a lot of weapons - Tarik Cohen, Jordan Howard, ARob, Anthony Miller, Trey Burton. Trubisky can hurt you with his feet and in one of their games threw 6 TDs. But i watched them vs the Jets and their offense was nothing to speak of. They kind of remind me of the titans.

anyone watch them a lot and have insight? Save the “it doesn’t matter” comments ... it’s still football season for those who want to discuss the opponent/ matchup.

for the win on the Jets they had an early 70 yard TD throw, a one yard pass that broke perfectly, and kept the ball on the ground for most of the game

You covered it pretty well. Nagy will try and use Cohen to slow punish an aggressive Buffalo D. Howard hasn’t looked great this year, he did shake off some rust at the end of the Jets games. Showed a little wiggle and had his longest run of the season. (20 something yards)

Arob sat out last week, he is also hurt. I don’t think Mack plays this week.

For your D the key will be to NOT over run Trubisky. If they do he will scamper for huge gains. He did that against the Pats a couple weeks ago.. they got pressure but the open lanes for him to run were annoying.

Their D is legit and if I was the Bills head coach I’d be reinforcing “protect the football” as I believe the Bills could hang around and possibly win as long as they don’t give the Bears short or easy points. Their O isn’t great but it is capable of stringing drives together.

my question to you is, do you see the D having a let down after leaving it all on the field Monday and still not coming away with the W?

simply put we need out defence to come out again like they did this past monday night to have any chance whatsoever.......im expecting our offence to grind out maybe a handful of fieldgoals at best....until they can show some sembalance of an nfl offence i have lost all faith in them for this season plus with the possible peterman show starting again....ouch....this one may just get very ugly very early.....

Bills D would destroy Trubisky if starts doing that stop and start running baloney he did against NE. That was a poor effort by NE. I don’t see the Polish Hammer doing much of that Sunday.

It is hard to say. I don’t think they really play that way. I think they get up for every game. But if they don’t have the right game plan they can get exploited. And it’s not pretty. But the effort is always there. Imo.

It will really suck if Edmunds is out. We will need a spy on Mitchell.

Similar to the chiefs offensively in my opinion.

The bears offense is scheme specific. Don’t get fooled by all the motions and shifts. Spy the QB and try to watch Cohen on the passing game and they are not very good.

From the few quarters I’ve watched them they can’t just line up and make plays. Has to be lots of shifts and trickerations to confuse the defense and free guys up. Unlike the chiefs though they don’t have as many formations and weapons to do it a full game

Very strong running game with Howard, Cohen and Trubisky.  Cohen is a big play guy run and pass.   Trubisky will make errant throws so maybe some pick opportunities for Bills defense.  OL Kyle long hurt and not playing so they have a hole to fill there.  Mack probably won't play or won't play full time as he's still getting healthy.  Even without him their D is quite good.  Hicks on DL is a beast.

Wasn’t Miller hurt too? Thought he was going to need shoulder surgery but seems to be playing through it

I believe I saw they have 17 takeaways. They are looking at Nate like a bag of Halloween candy.

Muzak to my ears.

I think if Mack doesn't play the Bills could make it interesting, but the Bills will have to put up more than 10 points to do so.

If Edmunds is out for the Bills, I think the defense will have trouble. Although Edmunds is a rookie and makes plenty of mistakes out there, I don't think anyone on the team can step up and replace his raw size, athleticism, and instincts.

And of course, any Peterman led offense is going to have defenders sitting on and jumping routes with the hopes of easy picks. I would HOPE that they don't call a single passing play outside the numbers, because that is a pick 6 waiting to happen. However, there could be opportunities with WR's faking the out and then turning up field. With a pump fake from Peterman, every DB in the league will try to jump the route. Could be a big gain. Similar to the fake screen against the Vikings.

Defense has been prone to giving up big plays, but we aren't exactly equipped to take advantage of that.

Robinson missed the Jets game, not sure if he'll be back.  I don't have high hopes.

I live in Chicago and hear three common refrains:

1. Howard is awesome and badly underused by the coaching staff.  Fans here want to protect Mitch by emphasising the run.  The Bears often do the opposite.

2. Mack's health is more important than any remaining game in 2018. It would be fine with most fans here if the Bears put him on the shelf because nobody is seriously thinking about a championship this year, but they are for next year.

3. Cohen is very quick and makes plays when he gets the ball on the edge or in space.

Even at 4-3? Is he that hurt?

The sense is that even at 80% he's good but not special, and they need him to be special to accomplish their goals.

I wonder if the Chargers have that same thought re: Joey Bosa. Interesting.

I have seen them play and thought Trubisky looked pretty good.  D is their strength no doubt.

They have blossomed into a good team in a short period of time and I would put them in the "better" group of teams we have played so far this year.

Should be a rough day.

It would not surprise me to see the Bills D have a let down game.

They put everything into the Pats* game and the horrid O play has got to be dragging on them.

If the O does nothing in the 1st quarter it could get bad fast.
