YoloinOhio Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 No actual points, but points for creativity The reverse flea flicker! Veteran Tecmo gamers might understand why the play isn’t often seen in the NFL: It sucked 3 1
BmarvB Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 A better thrown ball (or a faster receiver), and that would have been a TD 4

May Day 10 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I was yelling "tecmo super bowl!" during the play 1

Dablitzkrieg Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 The Superbowl Bills ran this same play for a bomb to Beebe one year. They had some weapons. /sarcasm
Jobot Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 The only thing it might do is buy some pass protection time? But laterals all happen so quickly, that no DB was gonna get tricked.

Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Robert Foster would have taken that one to the house! Did you know he was a 5* high school recruit? 1

boyst Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I had noticed this too. As I played that game religiously growing up. Perhaps they realized Anderson might have to and they designed a Playbook to be like Tecmo Super Bowl in order to make it easier to digest. However they would have been much better at doing the Hail Mary and having Anderson back all the way up to his own End Zone and throw clear all the way to the other end zone when you almost always get a touchdown. I used to beat my brother's ass doing this. That and Shane Conlan up the middle every time for a sack
LeGOATski Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 The offense had a really creative script for the first couple of drives... I thought I was watching a poor man's Chiefs offense.
