thenorthremembers Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Can see Mike McCarthy in Cleveland next year. If he isn't fired I would assume they hire Eric Bieniemy from KC.

Thoughts on bringing Hue in as OC? i would hire Hue as a consultant for the rest of the season just to get him in the door. after the season is over, make evaluations and take it from there.
frostbitmic Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 What's sad to me is, after going 1-31 the past two years, after tonight they'll still have a better record than the Bills.

We already know what happens when you fire your head coach every 2-3 years. We’ve seen that play out 10x over. Lets try something new for once... I am sick of constantly switching coaches, and then watching lots of good players leave who no longer fit the scheme. I want to see what happens when you actually give a coach some time to build the team he wants. Thankfuflly, I feel it’s pretty safe to say McDermott will be back next year. I don’t think he’s in any danger of being fired. 1 1
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Let Hue and Whaley meet up in Tampa Bay and see how bad they can really make a Franchise.
stuvian Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 the ghost of Vince Lombardi couldn't make it work in Cleveland

WHY? He has to be one of the worst coaches in NFL history. I would him no where near Buffalo

Per CBS “Jackson is the sixth straight Cleveland coach to be fired following the team's second game against Pittsburgh. Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine all met the same demise.” Just unbelievable how Pittsburgh is in Cleveland’s head as bad as NE is in ours.

I don’t think he’s in any danger of being fired. The problem isnt changing coaches every couple of seasons, it's not like they are dumping guys who are going off and succeeding as HCs elsewhere. The problem is they haven't been hiring the right guys which leads to them being let go every few years. Would it be that much better to hold onto a bad choice for a few years longer just because they dont want to change coaches again after 2-3 years? With McDermott and Beane, things would be different if the team showed signs of improvement, but they are getting worse each week because of a self inflicted situation they put themselves into. What they need to do when looking for the next guy is look at finding someone who can work with what they have and not need to replace all of the talent with their own guys. And also find someone who can do multiple things at once, like rebuild a defence and offence together, instead of putting all your resources into one side and neglecting the other side with whatever they find at the bottom of the dumpster.

Soda Popinski Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 I would have thought it would be Haley. But I don't think it matters much, whoever took over was just going to do their thing and let the other DC do their thing the rest of the year.
