Including the Bills, what year did all your favorite teams have the most aggregate success?

1974-75

Buffalo Braves, Sabres and Bills and in college hoops UCLA Bruins.

Going with either the '74 or '75 Bills, the '74 team made the playoffs, had the thrilling Monday Night win vs. Raiders, and in '75 were only 8-6 but OJ ran for over 1,800 yards and set the TD record with 23. Braxton had over 800 yards that year.

'74-75 Sabres made the Stanley Cup finals and lost to Flyers but that team was fun. They had 9 players score at least 20 goals and that was the peak for the French Connection.

'74-75 Braves were really good, McAdoo led the league in scoring but Ernie D got hurt and that may have prevented them from advancing deep into the playoffs. Jack Ramsay was the coach, they were just a lot of fun to watch play. Randy Smith emerged as an excellent player after being a 7th round pick from Buff State.

John Wooden is my coaching idol and in his last season as coach they won another national championship in '75 beating Kentucky. Ironically it may have been Wooden's least talented team in years but they went 28-3.

Only 1 championship but Sabres made the finals and the Bills and Braves were very entertaining.

Good choice, 1974/1975 great years for Buffalo Sports; great Stanley Cup Finals in 75 between Flyers and Sabres; I was working at JH Williams on Vulcan Street in Riverside second shift and the whole plant was out back listening to the game!!

90-91 season. Reds win world series. Bulls beat Lakers. Wide Right.

My life as a sports fan got off to such a promising start ?

THIS!  So much this.  90-91 was my first year of being a sports fan.  First world series, nba finals and super bowl.   In my eyes that year as a whole will never be beat.

My Bills/Royals/Canadiens combo is a tough pull.

92-93 I guess, Habs win the cup, Bills were winning the AFC, my all time fave George Brett got to 3000 hits in ‘92, and the Royals weren’t a complete tire fire just yet.

Runner up 85-86, Royals WS, Habs Stanley Cup and the Bills were on the cusp of AFC dominance.

30 year old Bills/Sabres fa. Only 2 years come to mind

'99 with Sabres in the finals and Bills in the playoffs. I wasn't really old enough to appreciate it fully and obviously some pretty bitter losses

2006 Sabres in the ECF. They were so much fun to watch that year and I was really into it. Of course, 4 of our top 6 defenders get hurt and we lose in game 7...

Since the only year any of my teams has won it all was in 1986, when I was a diehard Mets fan, that would have to be the year. A championship trumps everything else regarding success.

Probably the best party of my life, as a junior in college some fools rented us what were then BIG TV’s, and half of SW Ohio came by to watch that. We lived in what was effectively Animal House, and it was glorious! (Except for the filth and poverty and debauchery....well maybe that part was OK.)

We got the game live in Canada, that let the US feed know the final score before the tape delay was shown  in the US

and most people watching the tape delay already knew the final score

The Finland game Sunday morning was shown live in the US

Buffalo Bills & Michigan Wolverines Basketball.

1989: Michigan wins the National Title. I know this was the year of the "Bickering Bills", but they made the playoffs and were headed to bigger things.

1991-92: Michigan loses in the National Title game in back-to-back years as the Bills lose in Super Bowls XXVI & XXVII. in 1991 Minneapolis hosted both the Super Bowl & Final Four.

If John Bielien would have gone to the NBA, I would be in rough shape sports wise.

As a long time Red Sox fan, their first championship since 1918, in 2004, was a pretty mind blowing experience.

It has altered my fandom of the Red Sox forever.  I'm much more relaxed about the whole thing now, and feel no pressure for them to do anything again the rest of my life.

In this way, I know that if the Bills ever could win a Super Bowl, it would alter my relationship with the team.  It may sound weird, but I'll remain a much more interested, intense fan of the team as long as they do NOT win a championship.  Once that happens, it's different and losing becomes "OK" b/c you know they did it at least once, and no one will ever take that away from them.

When it comes to N.American team sports, I only follow Red Sox, Sabres, and Bills.  Sabres and Bills have never won a championship, so I have never really had that year when it all came together for me.

‘73, Sabres make playoffs in third season, OJ runs for 2003 yrds

99, Sabres got to the Finals, Bills should have gone to SB.#THROWBACKDebacle

I think ‘80/‘81 Bills go back to back playoffs, Sabres battle Islander Dynasty for East Supremacy

Pats — 1986 the unusual run to the playoffs with Tony season as QB

BC Eagles — glutei to Phalen to beat Miami.

Bruins — since I can remember.. I love Hockey and played all my life till I blew my knee out in college.

I adopted the Bills as my secondary team when Kelly was QB and well I kind of bonded with a few Bills fans at a couple of Pats games.

Great time to be a Buffalo sports fans, all 3 teams were good and very entertaining. Perreault, OJ and McAdoo were all stars . McAdoo was MVP that season.

1965. The San Diego Chargers come to War Memorial Stadium with the league's top offense that has 3 future HOF'ers -- QB John Hadl, WR Lance Allworth and RB Keith Lincoln. Bills win 23-0. The Sabres and Braves/Clippers didn't exist yet.

2004. Arsenal were invincible and the Bills won 9 games (equal most I have ever seen them win).

I get that totally. I feel that way about Arsenal's 2004 unbeaten season - I still want them to win every week, I still want success and trophies.... but I am comfortable knowing that 2004 was probably as good as it will ever get. That is the greatest team in the club's history and as a result I more relaxed about what follows.
