YoloinOhio Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 (edited) Bills’ Jordan Phillips still leans on ‘village’ that helped him overcome early obstacles https://buffalonews.com/2018/10/25/buffalo-bills-jordan-phillips-miami-dolphins-adoption-oklahoma-sooners/ Quote Jordan Phillips doesn’t remember his mother. She died in a car crash when he was 2. He barely knows his father, who was in prison for a large portion of Phillips’ life. In fact, Phillips’ mother was on her way to visit his jailed father the day after Christmas when her car tragically slid off an icy road in Wichita, Kan. hope he lights up Marcia on Monday! gjv001 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I hope the Bills are able to resign Phillips. He seems to be the type of player suited for Buffalo. Kind of a Ted Washington type. 1
stevewin Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 That was a good story. Phillips going crazy between plays (and making plays) his first game was something I'll never forget - was rooting for him from that point.
YoloinOhio Posted October 25, 2018 Author Posted October 25, 2018 I was listening to one of the Pats beat reporters yesterday saying the only defense that had given Brady trouble recently in the division was miami’s. Maybe he can impart some wisdom on what they did. We have a good enough DL this year to pressure him, it’s just hard to get to him because he gets the ball out so fast and the refs won’t let anyone near him
IgotBILLStopay Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 When the Bills defense is running drills, he is the first guy you see because he is so big. He was giving 100% even in those pre-game drills. All in all, a great pick up for the Bills. Thanks for posting OP. Played really well against Houston.
wppete Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Great read, thanks. He is a great signing for the Bills.
John from Riverside Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 If we can keep him in the offseason......our starting DT's are pretty much set even with Meatball's impending retirement. 1
Kelly the Dog Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 We need more feel-good stories like that. Hopefully, his play continues, he gains more confidence, continues to work his ass off. He has great size and nice talent. 1
