K D Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I expect Monday night to be the shady McCoy show. 80 yards rushing, 60 yards receiving, a bunch of jukes and making people miss. Then the price goes up Tuesday.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 I don’t want to trade McCoy but if the Bills already know they won’t have him back next year then whatever. I feel bad for the guy. If you are going to trade McCoy, please get a player back. Get a WR that can help us going forward or don’t bother. Another 3rd, 4th or worse does nothing for me here. The guy is our best player and will be our best player next year. I don’t care what the typical value is for him. If you can’t get a decent WR back for him, I wouldn’t even bother. I would like a player and a pick but we will probably get a 4th and act like it’s a good move. Trade a generational player and the best skill position player we have had in 25 years for a pick that will turn into a nobody 80% of the time. Real sensible.
Kevin1778 Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 If Jacksonville beats the Eagles tomorrow morning and the Eagles can't run the ball, I bet he is traded before MNF. Probably for a 4th rounder.

The rare home MNF game, Thurman’s jersey retirement , Bergman in town etc. It would just be bad optics to start a fire sale before that game.

He will send a very clear message they have little interest in winning. If Shady gets moved it's because he approved it. That's why Philadelphia makes sense.
buffalobloodfloridahome Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Ivory has looked capable enough and has run hard for us all year. I would hate to lose shady but, I would also understand getting value while you can. 3
jethro_tull Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 apparently nobody gets that he is out of gas and needs a steamroller O-Line to be successful. get what you can for him. 1

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I want Shady here. What we get for him will end up being useless most likely and he can help us next year. Shady should be the face of this team for the next 2 years. Give the OC a clue that maybe he should use him. I’d give him 30 touches a game in this offense. We have nothing else. #keepshady
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I wish he had breakaway speed. It's weird having an elusive back without real good top end speed to outrun DBs and turn a 20 yarder into a 70 yarder. If a DB is even with Shady he's not going the distance. Super quick but not fast. He's a good player, just saying

If you want to get the best out of him he's probably best used as 15-18 touches per game. That might even be ambitious given his injury history of late. But in essence the kind of touches that KC gave Marcus Allen at the end of his career that extended his effectiveness well past where it should have been.

For what reason? Is he going to be a part of a playoff push here? No. Trade him, play Ivory and Murphy the rest of the season, get a young back in the 3rd or 4th round next year and pick up a pick for McCoy. McCoy is wasted here right now. 3 hours ago, BADOLBILZ said: I am for keeping Shady as well but his touches should be limited. Keep and make sure he doesn't contribute much instead of trading him for a decent pick. Good job.

Good job. No you are just being ignorant.........15-18 touches per game is 240-288 touches..........that's not "not contributing much". Perspective: workhorse Todd Gurley at age 23 had just under 23 touches per game last season. Get realistic, kids. The objective is to get more per-touch production and keep a playmaker healthy............if you haven't noticed he finished each of his 3 regular seasons as a Bill being carted off of the field.

To what end? Why keep Shady when we won't win many games anyway? This is a rebuild. Get rid of his contract and aging legs and get YOUNG
