I pretty much don't care what they do at this point. Trade him/don't trade him. I'll start caring more once F/A and the draft begins. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy the laughable train wreck that this team is at the current moment.

So in other words, Schefter is completely guessing.  Thanks for the thread.

that's what I got out of it

A sixth rounder is fine. Get rid of his salary.

Huh?

The Bills already have like $90 million in cap space for next season. They are not going to use up all of that cap space next year. So Shady’s cap hit is a total non-issue.

Trading our best player on offense for a 6th would be terrible.

It would hurt the locker room, but I'm for it.   I love the guy, but we're looking to the future obviously here, and I'd rather have the draft capital.  Lot of great young runners in college ball this year.

good player with certainly the potential to be great.

I was referencing the other only good player who has had an established career.

White is a fantastic player. Maybe the best at his position in the entire league

Sell low, huh? McCoy's value has to be the lowest it has ever been.

Can't expect to get more than a 5th for him. He's been injured all year and has had almost no production.

Absolutely.  We have the leverage here, I think, so I'd hold out for a 3rd or even more, if Beane can pull it off.

But if we can get a 3rd, he's gone faster than you can say "Shady".

We have no leverage. We have an injured 30 year old running back with no production to speak of this year.

His trade value is at rock bottom.   Delicia Cordon's lawsuit has more legs than McCoy at this point.

If the Bills were offered a 2nd, they would have unloaded him by now.

I think you would see a resurgence in him in Green Bay. Teams wouldn't be able to load the box against him. He could really tip things in Green Bays favor in the NFC North. They have two firsts, I'd trade a first for him if I felt it gave us a Super Bowl.

trade him to green bay they could  use a back and shady could use a playoff run.  I'd take both of their first rounders to start....jk

I saw a rumor that GB has called the Bills about him twice

Clay, miller, mills, Shaq, Hughes, Lorax, Groy

Good chance that at least 4 of them are gone next year too.

I think that Hughes and Shaq could stay if they play well for the rest of the season, and I suppose there's a chance that LorAx will get re-signed for a cheap veteran sum, but I can't see anyone else from that list being back with the team in 2019

I could see GB being interested, as could Seattle, Philadelphia, or Washington.

trade your best player?

seems like a present bills move.

smh

Honestly I love Shady, but I think this would be the best move for all.  He is not going to make a difference on this team and I honestly want to see Murphy get a lot more touches before the end of the season so we know just how good he is and what we need to do at the position going forward.
