I would have had no issues using a 4th round pick on him in that draft. Now, we can have him without giving up anything. Why not take a chance? Hopefully the front office has already reached out. Elway won a superbowl while Jim couldn't. How sweet would it be to ultimately win a championship with JK's nephew after he was cut by Elway. I realize that's jumping ahead and dreaming, but man would it be awesome. I loved Chad in college and he's got the talent but they may be an underlying drug problem that we are not fully aware of here. Some people can dip their toes in the water with drugs and have it not really affect them. Others get a taste and it becomes their lives. I think this kid probably needs to address some deeper issues before he see a football field again. Edited October 24, 2018 by K-GunJimKelly12

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 How often do you think he's uttered the phrase "Do you know who my uncle is?" 1
RobbRiddick Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I'd love to see the meeting room with crazy Chad and God-fearing Peterman. Chad: "Jesus, I'm looking forward to Sunday!" Nate: "Don't take the Lord's name in vain" Chad (laughing like Peter Griffin): "Dude, you said vein. I've got a vein in my dick" 1

CK has been kicked off a high school..college..and NFL team for acting like a knucklehead. And Kelly has done nothing so far in the NFL. Peterman looked amazing in pre season as well. If his name wasnt Kelly no one would care. With that said...if the Bill's wanted to bring him in I dont take issue with it. But there is literally no evidence he is better then anything we have...hes barely even played. Could he be good of course..but let's not get ridiculous here. All those guys you mentioned had a track record of talent in the league. Your saying Kelly has enough talent? Hes never even started a game. You guys are laughable. "you guys"? what guys are those? the burgeoning Chad Kelly fan club? LOL I really didn't know he existed until about 2 months ago. I'm just throwing it out there as a discussion point. Bring him in or not , I don't really care that much either way. However to say that Kelly is any more of an idiot or dbag than say Vick, Peterson or Jones is just silly. And to say that what he did is any more crazy than Zay jones is also not being fair. Finally saying that Kelly is probably better than Peterman or Anderson is just being honest. Its just a hypothetical discussion anyway because McJesus and Co would never give him a chance. Kelly's sins are probably unpardonable in their eyes and they have proven themselves somewhat clueless at assessing offensive talent!
Formerly Allan in MD Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Let's sign Rae Carruth as well. I hear he's also available. 1

Tcali Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Chad is the next Tom Brady. lets sign him for the rest of this year. And McDermott would love him. 10 minutes ago, Formerly Allan in MD said: Let's sign Rae Carruth as well. He was never anyone that held the Bills or Jim Kelly back during their run. The fact this spoiled brat who likes to talk about guns and spraying up clubs got cut by him doesn't add anything to it. Chad Kelly is a douche bag. How anyone can root for him or like him, I don't understand. He threatens people, runs out on to high school fields. He's openly aggressive towards society. This isn't a drug problem, this is an ***** with a drug problem. I always wish people can clean themselves up who may have substance abuse issues. I hope he can get clean if that is the case, but he is also an ass. I won't root for him beyond getting clean and the help he might need. That's if he does.

Well, some of his issues are actually more likely rooted in societal norms and expectations of what defines masculinity, but we won't get into that on a football discussion board. Yea, he has made some mistakes, but nothing unforgivable, especially considering the number of guys that get second and third chances after beating their kids, raping women, and punching/strangling their significant others. By comparison, Chad Kelly is a saint. And you want to talk about douche bags? Eli Manning and Bryce Harper are likely the two biggest douch bags in all of professional sports, but they're happily employed. 1
wppete Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 McDermott will end up signing him. McDermott has no idea what he is doing with the QB position. 2 seasons in and he has proven that.
KollegeStudnet Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I'm surprised they cut him. Cut Peterman and sign Kelly!
BananaB Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Chad seems to be an immature *****.... But if Tyreek Hill deserves a second chance for what he did, I have no problem giving Chad numerous chances for the dumb ***** he has done.

Hmmmmm, the guy's wife was busy looking after the young child. He wanted some female attention but she's busy in mom mode, so he goes upstairs with the vacuum cleaner? Then just happened to have the tube in his hand when Chad came calling? I'm starting to see why the guy was so angry with Chad. It wasn't because he trespassed on his property, it's because he was forced to turn the vacuum cleaner off before he 'finished'.
MAJBobby Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Actually I bet he becomes the starting QB of one of the new leagues team

Jim stuck his neck out and Chad pissed on the gift that was handed to him. Yeah, for sure. Heres what Elway said after drafting Chad - Quote “I called his uncle, and he said he’s a good kid,” Elway said after the 2017 draft. “I said, ‘OK. That’s all I need.’ I trust Jim with that. I think that obviously there’s been some history there, but we felt comfortable that Chad understands what he’s been through and is ready to take this step and realizes the step that he’s taking. It’s got to be a little bit different than it was when he was in college. We’re fully confident that Chad is going to be able to come up here and understand the situation that he’s in.” I’d be pretty pissed off right now if I were Jim Kelly... Chad appears to have a lot of growing up to do still. Sad part is that one day he will most likely look back and realize what he squandered. He is a good QB, has the talent and was probably afforded more opportunity than most because of his last name, yet he pissed it all away (so far, anyway...). I hope this kid wakes up before this all passes him by, if it hasn’t already. 2

If the Jim Kelly of old was a kid in College or young player in the NFL he wouldn’t be as bad as Chad but he’d be catching some flack for his off the field activities. And he did - BUT he kept his SHEET together and managed to get kicked off his HS team, his College team and his NFL team.....sheesh dude. NO WAY you are that dense. 1
