Hasn’t had a chance in regular season action and looked sharp in preseason. I would bring him in. There is absolutely zero chance he is worse than Peterman and he probably isn’t any worse than Anderson either.

You would bring in a drunk before Kap....... really

If he’s practice squad eligible, I’d sign him.  I don’t know the details, but if they were considering giving him a look as a starter and still cut him, it can’t be good.

This is sarcasm right?

on one hand, I think this guy is a joke.  Someone who has been handed everything and pissed it away.  He is completely overrated here because of his last name.  He is a very dumb human being, has zero leadership skills, and I have firsthand knowledge from Friends who worked in bars that there are a bunch more of shady Swag instances that never got reported.  Dude has major issues.

but I also see one of the mismanaged qb situations in nfl history and spending a 7th overall pick on a guy who has major flaws.  The Bills should turn over every rock to find qbs.  As much as I think it is a total failure, I’d sign Kelly for the bare minimum.  Hell, I’d sign Kaep.  I’d sign EJ.

Just so something.  It’s kinda of a slap in the face to faces that the Bills are playing against Tom Brady starting Derek freakin’ Anderson.  But trust the process and whatnot.

I would take either of them at this point.  Shoot, EJ looked better than these guys.  Even Matt Barkley or Mark Sanchez would be an improvement.  Shoot, can we give Kurt Warner or Tony Romo a call? I don't care how old they are, there's no place to go but up...

But more lmportantly, how well do these QBs know the only playbook that matters, the Bible? ?

Heres what Elway said after drafting Chad -

I’d be pretty pissed off right now if I were Jim Kelly...

Chad appears to have a lot of growing up to do still.

Sad part is that one day he will most likely look back and realize what he squandered.

He is a good QB, has the talent and was probably afforded more opportunity than most because of his last name, yet he pissed it all away (so far, anyway...).

I hope this kid wakes up before this all passes him by, if it hasn’t already.

I feel a lot worse for people who didn’t have a millionaire uncle.

Terrible how many are commenting on this in favor of signing him without paying attention to the fact he's in real criminal trouble and likely won't be allowed by the NFL to play.

Sign him! Have him live with Uncle Jim to get his Sheize together!

Jim had his son born with a terminal illness and had to suffer through his early passing. He has since been through multiple battles with cancer. What makes you think that he's got the time or energy to put into a screwup nephew that has pissed away every opportunity he's been given?

I sign him to the PS, and here is why.

No team will be willing to touch him until some time passes and wounds can heal.

From what I'm reading, this wasn't just about the arrest.  Reports state he got into an altercation with a guest at the party, got into an altercation with security at the party, and had to get kicked out.  The team's leadership group was upset that Kelly ruined a Halloween event that is held yearly and is made to strengthen comradery.  That rubbed many of the players the wrong way, and it came across that allowing him back in the locker room would be a strain to the team.  Like that one friend you stop hanging out with cuz he can't hold his liquor and acts like an idiot.

So here is a 24 year old kid 1500 miles away from home gets drunk and makes a huge mistake that cost him his job.  Got it.

But there is a difference between being a dumb college kid and a dumb young adult.

In my mind, there is only one team that makes sense for him to play for.  That's Buffalo.

If they do sign him to the PS, he will be back in his hometown.  He will have a solid support system, including his uncle and many of his brothers who can be there and help keep him straight.  You have a serious heart to heart with him and his family explaining what needs to be done and what is expected, and allow that family support system to see if he can make a difference. He will be made fully aware that this may be his last shot.  Have his Uncle in the room.  HIs father, mother.  Team leadership group.

He hadn't been read his final rites as a pro QB yet until today.  From this point forward he only has one shot left.

Why?

Yes, it's because of the T word.  Talent.  He was touted as an early round prospect.  He showed this past pre season that he has talent, more than probably what's on the roster outside of Josh Allen.  Many slated him as the potential starter if they hadn't poured all that money into Keenum.  You put the guy on the PS, a structured program, and surround him with his family and our leadership group who are there for him.   Submerge him in our culture and way of doing things.

Whether that's good enough, only he will decide.  But for me, it's worth the risk..

my brother's son had a boy with the same disease at the exact same time as jim, jill and hunter.  they owed to him out of respect to draft chad and john elway had to pony up to help jim out. that's a disgrace by this org. and i'm sure a lot of you young guys can't understand it, but take my word for it.

jim carried this city and to this day brings us the love of fans on a national basis. no one has ever done more for this team and city. the kid needs to be brought home where he can have a chance to mature and succeed. i mean whose never plopped on a strangers couch, porch, yard , bushes.....anywho  they can jockey roster spots until josh comes back then cut anderson....who will most likely be injured by tuesday.

it's a small price to pay for a guy that could turn into his uncle. again, spare me the cliche's.  he's a cheaper choice than carr....who we will get outbid for and could surpass him in talent and success. remember, he went from last pick in the draft to fans clamoring to start over keenum for the broncos.

imo it would be a huge pr move and also add a possible long term talent to the team.  he's basically a gift being given to us knowing that the price for carr(who has probably never seen a snowflake... from the sky) and seems to be oft injured. it's a no brainer.

Like I hate being so negative but I’m just being realistic.  If we bring in a d back, I will blindly trust them.  But we have a lifelong defensive coach running this team.  Not shockingly, our offense is horrible.

This is a great point.  Jim's job isn't keeping this idiot straight.  That's Jim's brother's job, which he apparently sucks at.

His dad is kind've a working stiff, though.    I think for Tops,  a company that has been a sh*t show for some time now.   He's not on JK's financial teet so he hasn't really had the opportunity to follow his kid everywhere.
