I'm not sure if today's events change that line of thinking. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/23/nyregion/soros-caravan-explosive-bomb-home.html It's still interesting - the discrepancy in delivery, however it was delivered, speaks to the logistics of the whole thing. Even if it's a completely separate and unrelated incident. None of us have enough information to make even a realistic guess at what it means...but it'll be an immediate, strong investigative focus.

I guess I was looking at it through that lens If you're standing on the outside looking at the perpetrator. Instead, put yourself in the perpetrator's shoes...what do these targets mean to him, and his motivation? What you think is irrelevant as to understanding; what he thinks is paramount. DC Tom
2 minutes ago, GG said: What's missing in the explanation is "Why now?" Which tangentially relates to "cui bono?" But really...possibly no one. "Who benefits?" is a question based on the a priori assumption of a conspiracy. When it could be something as prosaic as a crazy person hearing Clinton's "civility" nonsense and thinking "This means war!" And the answer to "why now?" in that case is simply that to package and deliver multiple bombs takes a minimum of about two weeks. That last is what really scares me, as it could be a trigger for an equal response that we'd see around Nov. 12. 3 minutes ago, Deranged Rhino said: The return address was DWS. Good point, although trying to rationally understand the actions of an obviously irrational person is tough The targets are obvious, the timing is odd. If you're a right wing conspiracy nut, who's done enough research and due diligence to know where George Soros's highly protected estate is, and you possibly hand delivered a bomb there - wouldn't you also be up to speed on what's happening with the Mueller investigation? The last thing you would do is to distract from that.

Absolutely no excuse for this crap. The most damning part of this is that it's also targeting people no longer in positions of power so you can't even make some lame attempt at a "revolution" defense. (not that it would be a good defense anyways) Or else, this is an attempt by someone on the left to either drum up sympathy, or else distract from the border issue which seems to not be going the way they wanted it. I think this is less likely, but it will be interesting to see what the packages turn out to be and if they are truly bombs meant to maim and kill. If I am a betting man I would be hesitant to bet that the public will learn anything meaningful about the bombs themselves.
