DefenseWins Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 This is the "bet $5000.00 against the Bills" game...
Chicken Boo Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Doe anyone here think the Patriots WON'T score 40+?
Billznut Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The ONLY possibilities of winning this game are: 1) Brady goes down in the 1st quarter and doesn’t return. OR 2) The Bills win the turnover battle by 3 or 4. Even then, no guarantee.
Livinginthepast Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The only possibility is if Brady gets injured then the Bills might win. However with the new soft NFL rules on hitting the QB this year, that becomes an even smaller possibility. They may not light things up like in the 2007 Pats but they will crush us because we cannot score points.
starrymessenger Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) We will win because the Pats have won so much they're tired of winning. Edited October 23, 2018 by starrymessenger 1

Win, lose, whatever - I want Buffalo fans to come off as one of the best on TV. My worry is that Pats take the crowd out of it very soon into that game If it's as rainy and cold as forecast, I think that many fans will just stay home. A significant part of the crowd will probably seriously anesthetize themselves before the opening kickoff, so they may be far more entertaining than anything the Bills do on the field. My guess is that the stands will be pretty empty by the middle of the third quarter, and I would not be surprised if a significant percentage of those left vigorously voice their displeasure at their own team. 1 hour ago, Steptide said: It was more than that. Bills forced 5 Dallas turnovers that night. Edwards threw an interception at the 3 yard line (if I remember right) that got returned either for a td, or the other side of the field. Then with like 50 seconds left and Dallas down by 2, they kick an on sides kick and recover the ball. Then proceed to go down field and get to the edge of field goal range, and Dallas's kicker boots a 55 yard fg to win the game. I remember I couldn't even sleep that night. That game was by far one of the hardest losses as a bills fan during the drought years It was a harbinger of what was to come under the offensive juggerNOT that was the Bills under Dick Jauron. 9 minutes ago, Chicken Boo said: Doe anyone here think the Patriots WON'T score 40+? That would be the OP. He thinks the Pats won't even score 20. I'm thinking they score at least 50 because Brady and Belichick take particularly perverse pleasure in torturing Bills fans.
wagon127 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The Bills have only beat Tom Brady twice in his whole career, and both times, it wasn't considered a long shot that we could do it. The 31-0 game, the bills had a stellar defense to start that year, and we just got Lawyer Milloy. In 2011, the bills offense was playing great, and we thought going into that game, we could keep pace with the patriots for once. While there have been several times throughout his career, I thought the bills could win and didn't, I have never felt more hopeless, then this year. I believe this is probably the worst bills team since the year 2000. The bills do sometimes pull off an upset against a good team, but they did that already this year. It won't happen against an elite team this week.

Success Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The Colts game could have gone differently without that Clay fumble. The D was playing great to that point. That took the air out and changed the whole game. I still think we have a top flight D. If we get a couple of breaks and a lead, the crowd will be nuts. It’s not likely, but it’s also not that outlandish - we can beat the old man.
stuvian Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 I'm a big Bills homer but this is going to be a bloodbath. People will leave at half time

jkirchofer Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 There is no way we win this game. I know I have said that a couple of times, especially prior to the Minnesota game, but Tom Brady is dialed in and the Patriots are running on all cylinders. Belichick will want to put us down. Brady will want to put us down. The Pats defense will get to Anderson. I love the Bills and will be a fan til the day I die, but these next two weeks are not going to be pretty. 26 minutes ago, Success said: The Colts game could have gone differently without that Clay fumble. Success Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 We tend to mythologize the Pats too - which is understandable. If KC takes more time in their last TD drive, and Chicago doesn’t give up a kick return and blocked punt - they’re 3-5. They’re not blowing teams away this year.

Wait...are you putting the Bills on the same level with the Bears and Chiefs? Yeah, you are right...they aren't blowing away elite teams, but don't mistake this historically bad team for elite.
PauleeeWalnuts Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Delusional! Lay your money on the Pats big time this week boys, that's the only way our Tuesday morning will be tolerable.

You have to look at it in the context of the season, and the previous week. I don’t think they’re soft. I think they’re tired of the O messing up.
