Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 March 21, 2005 Saints intend to keep Haslett for long haul By now the Saints had hoped to have a contract extension finalized for coach Jim Haslett, who has two years remaining on his current deal. Both sides are exchanging proposals, but the goal is to extend Haslett through the 2008 season or beyond.

It's not Haslett's fault, the majority of Saints fans are fairweather, so they never sell out the Dome. Also Our old Governor Mike Foster was trying very hard to keep the Saints here even though Tom Benson is impossible to worth with, unfortunately his term was up and the new governor is Kathleen Blanco, a woman who could give a rats ass about any of the sports teams here. She's not even making an attempt to keep the Saints.
