TheBeaneBandit Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) While this team has many problems todays game was a great example of the need for an elite interior rusher. I know many here are on the trade down train, and i hear yas, but I'm on record for not passing up an elite talent if available, which we currently have none of. Bottom line I don't pass on Oliver or Bosa if available. Snag a couple recievers and oline in free agency and keep drafting bpa. Of course i believe we need quite a bit of coaching changes as well but i don't feel like going there right now lol Edited October 22, 2018 by TheBeaneBandit
Dadonkadonk Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Don't let Beane have the chance to screw it up. Trade down just like the Colts did. 3
Virgil Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I would be pissed if we took Oliver. We’ve spent enough on defense and that’s not what’s losing games for us. We are 3rd in the league in sacks. We have to score points. 13 5

It would be a mistake to pass on a more talented player simply because you’ve convinced yourself to take a specific position. 2
KD in CA Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Indy showed exactly how to trade down this year. They got extra picks and were able to move down a few spots and still get a premier player at a position of need. So you can't really judge on trading down until you see the draft board v the other teams' draft position and needs. 2 1

Every position on offense is hot garbage, Shady will be 31 and i say first 3 picks in draft should be on offense. 3

That is why you trade down and get two or more talented players

Generally if you pick successful players they can be drafted at 5 or 25 and get the same impact. in basketball and hockey the odds of players drafted in these spots having the same impact is near 0. buffalo needs help at.. 1. OL 2. Speed WR 3 future RB sure you want to add depth on defense. I don’t see the need to use hi picks on it.

Rocbillsfan1 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) Offense wins majority of regular season games, defense will win you a Super Bowl. Right now we have 0 offense. Edited October 22, 2018 by Rocbillsfan1

The Jets were desperate for a QB and the Colts got a great haul. Teams will probably not be willing to pay that high a price for a non-QB though. In the scenario where a trade down doesn't materialize however, you don't pass up on an elite talent like Bosa for example for an inferior offensive prospect.
BullBuchanan Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Buffalo sports teams haven't been able to score points in a decade. Last I checked, that's what wins football games. I would much rather lose a game 38-45 than 0-7. At least you can get lucky when you get hot. 2
26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Defensive Tackles win championships! 1 1
K-9 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Depends on who else is there when we pick, but yeah, if there's nobody higher rated, we would be stupid not to take him.
#34fan Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I personally wouldn't give this dumb regime another draft to blow... Terry needs to prove he's serious about this franchise... FIRE the mofos! 1

John from Riverside Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 We will be in a position to trade down for more picks and we absolutely should do that....... 1

If we are picking that high you either take a QB or acquire at least 3 first round picks. Dont be the New York Giants, it doesn’t matter how good the defense is. We should be drafting and olineman in round 1.
