Rex was the worst coach in Buffalo Bills history. You may not like McD, or his team building strategy, but McD at least does more with less. Rex did less with more, and took a very talented team and made them suck. He was a total incompetent loudmouth buffoon. His era was a failure from week one. Stop. Says a guy whose board name is Bring Back Orton. McDermott hasn’t shown more than he is a good defensive coordinator so far. Just now, JerseyBills said: Smh. This bozo was handed a top 5 D on a silver platter and destroyed it! I literally think 80% of this board could have had better success. Simpler but better. McD has built his own defense in a year and some change. Give the man the credit he's due! Yeah let’s hand out all this credit like candy at Halloween.

You just couldn't coach him up any more than you could coach up any of your previous players on any other teams. You'll always be nothing but an overrated blowhard.

Oh and McD won 9 games in a season. Again more than Rex ever did. Your takes suck. Be better.
Fadingpain Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 How many posters attacking Rex here loved the hire at the time and applauded the organization? "It will give us credibility" they said. 1

Failure to reflect was half of Rex's undoing when he failed to realize after 3-4 games that he D scheme sucked and basically did nothing to fix it. Now he see Hughes tearing it up again without him there and somehow thinks it's the player and not his ? scheme. Edited October 21, 2018 by Real McCoy 1

He’ll tell you that he’s seen it all, done it all, knows the right thing to do at the right time, but his team gets blown out plenty. Bills fans love to give a ton of credit for ordinary things.

Okay. He's still better than Rex on his worst day. You are the Rex Ryan of posters.
Nuncha Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Your scheme sucked Rex...and so did your brother. Glad neither of you are coaching.

TigerJ Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 What did you want to hear - the truth? "If only I'd been competent, I'd still be coaching."
Pirate Angel Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Hard to be a successful pass rusher when your coach drops you into coverage

My larger point is for Bills fans to think bigger than emotions. We hate Rex and now love McDermott/Beane. Are we any any closer to real winning than we were with Rex? Has elite culture worked? Rex took a top 3-5 defense... and turned it into a bottom half defense without losing any players LOL
