I think we could get a few big plays out of something like that...have a reciever play center and snap the ball then go out for a pass pattern.

There are some pretty wild things that could be done with this and even if it doesn't work too well, it would force teams to have to spend extra time preparing for it.

Daboll needs to get a little creative...we arent good enough to beat teams straight up on offense. Causing confusion that leads to isolation on players could help us break them open for a big gain.

Then again...we can't even figure out how to line up properly in a normal formation I'm sure we would probably get an illegal formation penalty.

That’s one thing Belichick has always been good at—pushing the envelope on formations and play designs to generate just that little bit of extra confusion or separation to exploit—pair that with talent and now you’ve got something

If stupid gimmicks like this were in any way feasible in the NFL, don’t you think an inmovative franchise would have tried it already?

oh wait, you’re the genius that makes fun of player’s afros. Makes sense now.

I've been saying this for years. With the surge of "athletic" QBs....line up two....a passer and a running passer. Thank you Ravens for showing this can work or at least mess with the defense a few times per game. If I was making millions per year as an OC......I'd find time to spend on innovation.

Not sure that is legal.

We just need to run the ball and maximize throwing attempts.

BB - you’re right as he would have to declare as an eligible receiver and someone else would have to stay back, otherwise a penalty so they will know he is going out for a pass and the middle is completely exposed.

Well, if trick plays are negated by rules and notifications, all the Bills' QB can do is unload the ball into an oncoming defensive rusher's groin, like Burt Reynolds did in 'The Longest Yard'.  Maybe that will buy the receivers some time.  ?

The OP could be on to something. Our offensive linemen look like they’ve mastered the swinging gate manoeuvre to me.  :)

....is that maneuver or manure?........just askin'..........

Im pretty sure it is. Just might have to declare as eligible. The formation is definitely legal the Colts used this formsrion a few years ago on their famous failed fake punt where the dude wasnt supposed to snap the ball but did.
