twoandfourteen Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Check his career game log: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BeatC.00/gamelog/ Only one time has this kid been under 200 yards passing in a game. Looks like a star in the making tonight on MNF. Meanwhile, Josh Allen is regularly failing to break 100 yards in a game. Beathard looked competent as a rookie last season with a group of no-name receivers, too. Only 3 more career starts. Allen needs to get really good, really quickly. 2 1
Boatdrinks Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I wonder what Shanahan could do with Allen. Or if he would even think it was worth the time. Do the Bills have anyone on staff that can identify a good NFL QB prospect ? 1
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 He might be a good player. He was a third round pick and has a year under his belt which is huge.
Straight Hucklebuck Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Its worth noting for sure. He's a mid-round pick that was trusted to throw 54 times last week for 349 yards. That's 3-4 weeks worth of production for Allen at the pace he's on. Pretty eye opening. 1 2
zow2 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Someday, I hope and pray Josh Allen can become as good as CJ Beathard. 2 1 1
jrober38 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Beathard looks great. He's got minimal talent but he knows how to play the game.

Success Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 These threads will last - let’s get everyone in record. Who would do a straight-up trade, right now?

Allen hasn't looked like an NFL QB so far. For the past 3 games he's looked like a 3rd string QB who you have to completely hide to have any chance of winning a game. As I said, Beathard has hardly any talent, but he's accurate and he's in command of the offense. Who cares if you can throw a football 80 yards if you can't read a defense? Meanwhile, JA has a lot of trouble executing a basic NFL passing play. Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen -- all of them have at least exhibited the ability to produce respectable passing production at this early stage in their careers. 200 yards seems impossible right now for Josh Allen. 1 1
KD in CA Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Does this mean the Bills can trade for Jimmy G? 1

Jay_Fixit Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 At this point, Beathard is leaps and bounds better than Josh Allen. 1

Imagine if he had QB's that can consistently get him the ball....Oh wait!

However, after two straight weeks of 80 yard passing days -- I'm confident that 200 yards seems impossible at this point, yes.
