Heavy Kevi Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 There are distinct benefits.... But not for the fans. That said, I would be fine with the 2/18 system that has been floated lately. 4 games is a bit much. 1

Kelly the Dog Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Fans suck as much as preseason. They don't know what they are watching or they put too much emphasis on watching something at three-quarters speed without game planning and players going 100%.
billspro Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 It’s useful for determining who makes the bottom part of the 53. There is almost no point of playing starters. Also Nathan Peterman probably had 3 pick sixes dropped in the preseason. That is on the coaching staff for having a poor player evaluation. 2
Mark Vader Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I agree. Remember the 2017 preseason? Everyone here was saying we would be lucky to win 3 games. We went to the playoffs.

Jay_Fixit Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I think it was settled when preseason was invented. Preseason.

Watch the games and dont just look at the numbers. He was throwing easy passes with base defenses etc. The fans may not be expected to know better but coaches should. 3

C.Biscuit97 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 There is zero reason for 4 games. I do feel bad for the fringe nf players because this is where you can earn a job. But I think EJ had like a 140 QB rating one preseason.
ExWNYer Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 The preseason meant everything to Nathan Peterman and his family...
