Kevin1778 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 (edited) With 4 minutes to go in the game the Bills punted with a 3 point lead. The punting game pinned the Texans to their 8 yard line. The Defense CHOKED and allowed the Texans to march 91 yards on 7 plays in less than 2 minutes. Had the Defense done their job and held the Bills win. When a backup QB making only 600k a year comes into a game trailing and gives the Defense the lead the Defense has to step up and do their job. They failed. Yes, the offense has let them down all year long, but with the game on the line and needing only one stop after an incredible punt, the Defense was carved up by a team that did NOTHING all game. When the game was on the line the Bills Defense didn't get their job done. They are the 21st rated Defense when it comes to allowing 3rd Down conversions. They don't produce when it matters. Elite defenses don't give up big drives when the game is on the line and they show up on 3rd down. Edited October 15, 2018 by Kevin1778 2

Big Turk Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Lmao...so they basically allowed 3 points for the game that weren't based on turnovers deep in their territory and this is what you come up with?? Uggh... 2
Juice_32 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Not a fair assessment. If that last drive showed me anything it wasn't that the D choked. It did however show that we should be taking more downfield shots (where the WR can actually make a play on the ball) because of the chance of picking up a PI call. The D played exceedingly well enough for the Bills to win that game.
RoyBatty is alive Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Non-sense, happens all the time in the NFL. Offenses have no choice but to play aggressive, go for it each and every play, and they get a massive penalty put the ball on the one. Say what you want about that drive it was pretty amazing to me the Bills held them to a filed goal after getting the ball on the one. 1 1

apuszczalowski Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 So the Bill's defence choked because of one drive that was mostly due to a penalty, and then held them at the Goaline to give up only a Field Goal? Granted the Texans have not been a great Redzone offence, but the fact the Bill's came up with a stop there to hold them to a FG so late in the game after spending most of the game on the Field due to the offences ineptitude all day is actually quite impressive. 1
BillsInWilmingtonNC Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Wow wow wow..... They almost took Watson down for a sack and a safety in the endzone, Hughes forced a fumble that they couldn't recover, then they unfortunately gave up 50 yards on a PI call in the endzone by their weakest link on the defense, and a position that is sure to be upgraded next offseason, and then had 3 straight stops from the 1 yard line to force a FG. 4
Seasons1992 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 The real question is, who are the two people who "Follow" the OP? This is just moronic.
aceman_16 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Hmmmm... I hope this "hot take" was done before your coffee!?!

Mojo44 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 The defense only gave up 13 points! By any standard that is an awesome performance. You would take that in any game. This closes the case on this very bad take!!!!!
