For those freaking out over Allen's play thus far:

Jared Goff as a rookie

When Goff was drafted, the Rams had very few high draft choices upcoming, so his story was more bleak long term than Allen's.

Stop behaving as though this team will win weekly.  I'd like them to, but have perspective.  Our line is playing better than they did the first two weeks.  Our receivers still leave a lot to be desired.  The defense is significantly better than they started this year.  Our special teams are a major obstacle to success.

This game is still competitive, just not particularly enjoyable to watch.

Yeah call me when Sean Mcvay is walking through the door to help Josh

Our offense is unwatchable.

We have no semblance of a passing game whatsoever.

45 yards passing on 15 attempts. Our QB can't throw the ball more than 5 yards down field and expect to complete anything.

Watching Allen reminds me of the pickup football game in the park in elementary school - there was never a chance the qb would complete a pass.  Once in a while, he’s run for a bit, but had no idea where the ball was going when thrown and always looked scared

Unfortunately I don’t see a McVay taking over our staff anytime soon. That changed Goff more than anything.

Nobody knows that for sure.  He deserves credit but he also came in after Goff had a year under his belt and a bunch of weapons added.
