I’m not sure that translation fits. How many death threats do you get? Probably none. Expecting high profile people to live low profile lives is not realistic.

How many do I need to get to make me worthy of the same protection the Mike Bloomberg's of the world enjoy?

No one is expecting high profile people to live low profile lives. Bloomberg should absolutely have the right to protect and defend himself with whatever means he can afford and sees fit, but so should everyone else. Bloomberg has consistently advocated otherwise.

Why suspicious?

Neither of them really had a chance at this point and both were vocally and adamantly anti-Sanders.

Them sacrificing their own futile Presidential runs for the sake of consolidating votes for Biden makes complete sense for them.

No, not suspicious because it’s how politics works, but obviously Pete and Amy were promised some nice goodies to get out before today so as to avoid more (and potentially fatal) embarrassing performances by Touchy Joe.

No.  They actually polled this and there was little difference between black and white voters in SC when it came to voting for a gay candidate.  Candidates like Hillary and Biden simply showed up in black communities and listened to their wants and needs for years so they "earned" their vote.  Even Bernie's support among African Americans has increased since he built some relationships with them four years ago.  Buttigieg, Klobachar, and Warren were at a disadvantage from the beginning.

They “ poll” everything and end up with the results they want. The Dems predicted Pete B would struggle with the black vote largely due to his being openly gay. Then they “ poll” and find out it was really “ something else”. Classic manipulation of public perception by these people.

All that aside anybody that has taken an introductory statistics course in college can tell you that information can be embellished, manufactured, withheld, or manipulated to produce a desired result.

This seems to be a pretty commonly regurgitated argument over here.

Yah... all that deep state polling has it in for Trump because it doesn't portray him in the same favorable light enlightened individuals like you have of him!!!

It's not a "regurgitated argument over here", it's factual. Or have you forgotten 2016 already?

Polls are not accurate descriptions of anything -- they are framing devices used to drive narratives. Nothing more.

Oh god.  Buttigieg didn't gain black support because he was gay.  He lost because he was an unknown who was running behind Biden that happened to be the VP of the first black president.  Same reason Klobachar couldn't gain any traction.
