ALF Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 I would think a moderate like Klobuchar would have the best chance in Nov. for the Democrats. If Bernie won the nomination voters might keep the Senate a republican majority to counter any extreme changes. 2
Tiberius Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 From Jennifer Rubin: Quote Sanders was projected as the winner, but the margin of his victory was modest (less than 2 percent). As in Iowa, he did not juice the turnout with an influx of new voters as he promised. The youngest voters made up 12 percent on Tuesday compared with 19 percent in 2016. The Democratic establishment has panicked at the prospect of a Sanders win, but he now looks like a vulnerable front-runner, with well over half of his support coming from voters 18 to 29 and more than half coming from “very liberal” voters. If he was looking to expand beyond his traditional base, he did not do it. He actually got a larger share of repeat voters than first-time voters. With the electorate heavily skewed in favor of electability (60 percent) rather than agreement on the issues, and about half the voters finding Sanders too liberal, there is reason to believe voters have become wary of Sanders as the standard bearer in a must-win election. His base of support seems not to have grown significantly from the start of the race.

Morning Tibs....I think that’s the first time I’ve heard you express an opinion other that anti Trump. I’ll take it you’re not a Bernie fan? If not then who’s your guy or gal? And why? Honestly curious.

Foxx Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Sanders, i won't say lost last night but he certainly didn't win. considering he was in his backyard and he barely eeked out a first, should be a big warning for him and the bros. all things considered, Buttigieg prolly got the win. So far he’s just run and paid for his own commercials saying how much we should love him. I’m guessing the bloom will come off the rose rather quickly.

He has so much money, seems to be using it very well, good commercials, good organization and a message that Dems love: Trump must go. And Good Morning

For months he was either Biden or Warren which makes me wonder how a person juggles those two so readily since there is not a high overlap in terms of philosophy. He will be whoever the frontrunner is going into the convention even if the lead is razor thin. No harm in asking Tiberius but his answer will be as satisfying as a bottle of tepid water and a 3 day old doughnut.

Don’t forget he flew in a helicopter with Obama pointing at maps. And Good Morning Oh sorry. I spoke too soon. You like him because he has lots of money and good commercials? And because his message is “Trump must go!”? Lordy those are great reasons to put him in charge. ?
