LBJ just came out of his grave lamenting that he hadn't thought of them. Reports are that George Wallace overheard him say "If I'd have thought of giving those N****** reparations instead of signing the Civil Rights Act, I could have had them voting democrat for the next 200 years without having to treat them as equals".
B-Man Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Turns out making a play for the vote of a domestic terrorist who killed an 8 year old kid with a pressure cooker bomb was a bad idea.

snafu Posted June 16, 2019 Author Posted June 16, 2019 A long way to go... June, 2105: R’s *** Jeb leads the GOP pack: A brand-new national NBC/WSJ poll finds Jeb Bush leading the crowded Republican presidential field, with 22% of GOP primary voters saying he’s their first choice. He’s followed by Scott Walker at 17%, Marco Rubio at 14%, and Ben Carson at 11%. D’s Clinton is dominating the Democratic field, leading Sanders nationally by a whopping 60 points. Seventy-five percent of national Democratic primary voters say Clinton is their first choice for the nomination, and just 15 percent say the same of Sanders, who serves in the Senate as an Independent, according to the new poll. 2 1

B-Man Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 NO BIG DEAL, JUST A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE REFUSING TO SAY THE GOVERNMENT SHOULDN’T TAKE OVER MAJOR INDUSTRIES: “‘Fox News Sunday’ host Chris Wallace asked Sen. Bernie Sanders about a quote of his from the 1970s in which he says he favors public ownership of utilities, banks and major industries. Naturally, he obfuscated and refused to say he is against such a takeover.” Given that as candidates, Obama in 2008 and Hillary in 2016 both gleefully discussed putting coal mines and their employees out of business — and received no pushback whatsoever from the DNC-MSM – “Bernie’s Strange Brew of Nationalism and Socialism,” as Kevin Williamson aptly described Sanders’ worldview in 2015, isn’t too far removed. It’s long been the stuff of Salon.com fantasiesand more recently, AOC’s “Green Nude Eel,” of course. .

Doc Brown Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 (edited) I don't take much stock in this poll as it's early and row33 will comment how polls are completely rigged just like the latest quinnipiac poll showing similar results. Plus, Fox had Hillary up by 4 prior to the election and she ended up being +2.1. It's interesting to me though that Bernie is nearly as popular as Biden when it comes going to head to head with Trump. It just goes to show for a lot of the swing voters more about the candidates personality than the actual policies. Edited June 17, 2019 by Doc Brown
