He shouldn't be starting to begin with but their hand was forced due to Peterman playing poorly. However now that he is in he must be kept in as this is about the future of the team and not about hoping to squeak into the playoffs again. We're not signing Brady. It's Derek Anderson. He's a mentor and a safety valve if something goes wrong. Buffalo media is making a deal out of this because they have articles to write and air time to fill and it's Weds.

Derek was hired to be a glorified player coach (qb) for Josh. Instill a little wisdom and play only if he has to. The bigger question is why is Peterman still on this roster?

The worst thing that the Bills did to EJ Manuel was bench him in the name of "win-now." He likely would not have become a good QB, but that ruined any shred of a chance that he had left. I really dont think Anderson starts but I would say he plays in games to provide a "spark" if Allen is struggling

Expand If Allen got hurt, I would put in Peterman. There is no long term benefit to having Anderson play. At least with Peterman you would see if he can at least be counted on to be the back up QB. Otherwise it is just a wasted roster spot and there is no reason why he should be on the active roster.
