No way they’d pay a 2nd for an RB McCoys age.

Sure they would.  They are in win now mode and are stacked at most positions.  They won't truly miss a 2nd round

pick.  And Howie Roseman has previously said he tried to get Shady back after he regained his authority.  They

wouldn't start off being willing to give up a second, but I bet Beane could get him there under the right circumstances.

I’d be stunned if a second were offered , but would take it without hesitation.

Forget it, we need Shady.

Let the Eagles go after Bell.

Bell definitely wouldn't need to worry about overuse there...Eagles are allergic to running

Think they will move him after this season anyway. They can't like the pub from these lawsuits.

Don't forget we have a woman president.

Uhhggg. Why not ask for a first?

Heck, why not ask for 3 firsts?

Oh, because nobody will give even a 2nd for an aging RB with a high contract...

I'd trade Shady for a 4th in a heart beat, I'd probably even settle for a 5th.  It's found money.

Make no mistake about it....Shady will not be on the roster next season.  It's the first year where cutting him actually saves us a decent chunk of change against the cap.....and he's not even close to being worth what he's owed next year.  Plus trading him frees up additional cap space next year, that would otherwise be dead cap if cut before next season, as I believe he would be.  If you're somebody who is excited about the $$$ the Bills will have to spend in FA, than you should be excited at the possibility of trading McCoy off of this roster.  Get additional draft capital, save cap money (both this yr and next, and this years can be rolled over into next years) for a player that won't be on the roster next year.

It's a total no brainer.

The compensation at best would likely be a 4th maybe 5th. I’d do it though, he’s got limited time left and the Eagles can still do something this year. This team has tons  of holes and another draft pick will help restock the shelves.

At that point the cap space is bigger than the pick

I don't know. I thought we got fleeced when the Patriot took MG for a 5th. I thought we fleeced the Browns when we got Coleman for a 7th. I would say a 2nd for Shady would be great. But I'm not the best at assessing talent apparently.

Shady is priceless.

The Eagles would really need to make an amazing deal before I'd even think about it.

Bell is untradeable. He isn't allowed to sign a long term deal if traded, so you trading for a 10 rental for a player who hasn't even practiced in 10 months. Not happening

It isn't just the price of trading Shady..... it's the message. The message is "we are quitting on this season" much more than trading say Dareus last year was. Are they comfortable with that? Maybe.

Martavis Bryant just garnered a 3rd

This team gave up a 4th for Bryce Brown.

Shady is a HOF level back, still has plenty of juice in the tank and would be more motivated than ever going back “home” to try and help them repeat. If the Eagles believe Shady could be the missing piece to the puzzle, surely a 2nd or 3rd is worth going after another Lombardi trophy right now...

we have Allen.

I don’t know what this means. The guy threw for 82 yards Sunday and looks like he couldn’t hit water from a boat. Trading Shady will do nothing for us. We aren’t going to get anything worth while for an older runningback with a big contract and he is by far the best player on this team. He will not bring back anything that I care about. There are very few untouchable players on this roster and to me, Shady is one of them. Keep him here until he’s done and that’s not now. I don’t care about the eagles. We have plenty of middle round draft picks already. We have almost no great players. Keep the 1 we have

I'm sure Bell is fine. It's a final piece type situation. If you're playoff bound but your star back is out and you can get Bell for the stretch run you go for it.

In any case I hope we don't move on from Shady in the middle of the season. It would be uncharacteristically throw-in-the-towel. We could be 4-3 if the defense keeps it up against two beatable teams.
