Approximately 40% are living below the poverty level. He lived with his grandparents and his grandfather was a retired reservation policeman. I'll wager that this kid was abused and then constantly teased by his peers. Not an excuse I know. But he never learned how to cope. I'm glad (for his sake) that he took his life. There was a thread recently about whether to allow their kid to go to the mall at the age of 13 or 14. Parents are becoming over protective because of what they hear in the media, so they're wrapping their kids in bubblewrap. That makes it harder for some kids to learn how to socialize, and then incidents like this occur ("I don't know how to deal with being teased, so let me blow someone up.")
