I always thought Reddick was a better fit as a 3-4 inside linebacker. I could see a hybrid type team like the Steelers or Packers get this guy and have him be super productive.

In what scheme and where did he play in college?

And some of us said "I don't see it."

3rd round prospect who went in the 1st because of the success of Jones in Atlanta the previous year. The point is Jones was just a better footballer.

What do you think of Edmunds?

I think he's been pretty bad and I'm wondering when the light will come on and results start coming.

When drafted I thought of him as more of an OLB that could drop down and become a dynamic pass rusher.......more of the Lorax role.........and that's pretty much what he's been looking like.

His physical skills have been lost in the middle of the field.

He was a 230 lb defensive end in Temple's 4 man front. He has some nice pass rush ability but is undersized as a 3-4 OLB or DE so I think inside in a 3-4 is where his versatility will play. A poor man's Ryan Shazier.

Has arizona changed there scheme since he was drafted? He always seemed like a guy who would fit a pretty specific role to me.( i only saw him in college a few times)

Apparently they played him at MLB in the 2017 Senior Bowl and he did well.  Maybe play him there and move Edmunds outside eventually?

Yes. He was drafted to play in James Bettchers 3-4. Bettcher is now with Giants. They hired Steve Wilks from the Panthers who basically runs similar concepts to McDermotts 4-3. On paper he should be able to play the will in a 4-3, but that doesn't seem to play to his strengths.

I would take this move.  They’d get another starting LB on a rookie deal.

One thing to consider - if he’s fallen out of favor with Wilkes, does that mean McDermott and/or Beane wouldn’t want him?

His 2016 tape he was a project. His 2017 tape was so much better it did lead me to believe he was a 1st round player. I agree though he has not been great. I have banged on about his lane discipline in the run game but it's true.... at this stage it is bad. He is filling the wrong hole often. That he then chases 8 yards down the field and makes the tackle has some fans fooled, those plays are on him.

I did, however, think just from the tv look that today might have been his best game as a Bill. I will watch the all 22 later in the week but felt on a first view like a positive step. Light does need to come on though. At the moment the 3rd rounder and the 4th rounder are the more impressive rookies than either of the 1st round picks.
