You need to learn the difference between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives don't dream of the day they get to make everyone behave as we wish. keepthefaith Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) Well to answer the question posed by this thread, I've watched some CNN this week and from what they've been reporting, getting BK on the court will likely mean Roe/Wade will be overturned. From their reporting it seems like BK will walk in and along with the other conservative justices overturn this ruling within a year and without a case even being brought. They'll simply do it because they are the Supreme court. Edited October 8, 2018 by keepthefaith

boyst Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Silly question, since it's likely to come up in all of this - who overseas the supreme Court? My point isn't so much as the actual answer because the question is rhetorical. The framing of causing the sheep to fear the court could be simple and easily done by Democratic strategists. A socialist push removing ICE, the EC, SCOTUS (in favor of tribunals on a local level), and all things on a basic anarchist level would be a great way to cause fear in the base and manipulate to country.
B-Man Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 USA TODAY COLUMN: What To Expect With Kavanaugh On The Court. .
The_Dude Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I bet they'll bring back slavery. Pretty sure.

However, the guy isn't wrong - especially about the "legal scholars" turning on a dime. Full-time law professors rarely have any actual experience handling cases as an attorney. In fact, when I went to law school, the full-time professor on staff with the most experience as a lawyer worked for a law firm for about 5 years back in the early 70's. The practitioner-taught classes were far more useful. 11 minutes ago, The_Dude said: I bet they'll bring back slavery. Pretty sure. I have full confidence that not only will the Court bring back slavery, but it will also revert women back to the status of property. Marital rape will be allowed once again, and rape shield laws will be voided.
