I figured you had given up on this team!! what a game by Bell! 1 Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted February 21 Posted February 21 That may have been the best first half I have seen by an SU player with Bell against NC State. Copeland and Mintz came through in the second half. Big quad 1 win. 12 hours ago, Buffalo716 said: Petty! I bleed Orange! We just got a quad 1 and quad 2 win!! Top 45 in RPI... Great defense.... Chris Bell is an NBA shooter with size ... Got to hope we can keep the consistency, but if they get in the tourney I can see them getting to the sweet 16 at least this year 1 Quote

And there are a bunch of likeable guys! Malik and Copeland will be amazing for the remainder of their SU careers... Bell is a sharpshooter... Judah can get to the paint whenever... JJ is getting hot... We play defense! Jim boeheim certainly did one thing before he left... He left us with the deepest recruiting class we had in a long time And we are bringing 5* forward Donnie Freeman and stud guard Elijah Moore Both fit EXACTLY what we do 1 Quote

He plays with a fire and confidence that others seem to feed off of. He has some sneaky length and ball handling to him and seems to do whatever is needed. Just needs to cut down on some turn overs as he tries to get too cute with it some times but he is only going to get better which is kinda awesome Quote

Seriously has to be pushing 6'10 wingspan Because that reverse layup as you said seemed impossible It literally seemed impossible 1 Quote

Copeland should be starting in his place, and getting the lion’s share of the minutes. Taylor has struggled in every facet this year, and offers less on the boards than Copeland can give us in more of a 3-guard lineup. Quote

I've already heard buzz that Judah is likely gone; if not to the NBA then to Georgetown. Been some buzz that Maliq and Bell will be hard to keep too. Hopefully the rumors end up not being true so we can basically run it back with this group plus Donnie and get back into the NCAA Tournament but we'll see. Losing either Maliq or Judah would be pretty catastrophic for our hopes IMO. I would say at least for now, the Maliq/Bell stuff is just a little murmur; nothing concrete. I'm sure Judah will try to go to the NBA Draft again this offseason...hopefully he returns if he doesn't get good news there like he did last year. I know Georgetown is pretty confident they're getting him though. Edited February 23 by DCOrange Quote

Basically nobody transfers out and does better... Because SU coaches always have our guys in the best spots usually... Barring injuries I could see a guy like Peter Carey leaving ... But maliq I can't see.. him and copeland have great on court chemistry Quote

I really hope we can keep this group together; our talent level isn't high enough to be letting talented kids leave. It would be so big for us to be able to keep our guys here and continue adding on to them for once. Quote

All the elite teams have a stable of good upperclassmen they seem to be able to hang onto (UConn, Houston, Purdue, UNC). Not sure how they do it. Quote

I think it's only a matter of time until SU is perennially ranked again in basketball Red will bring the Orange back to prominence and the boosters have money... The sanctions killed the program for a while... We just weren't getting recruits of the caliber SU was used too 1 Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Any chance the Orange make the tourney as an at large? Seems like they've stacked some wins at the end of the season. Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Another nice win. These guys are really clicking. Even Taylor has been playing a little better. 1 Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted February 28 Posted February 28 The offense is really clicking right now, they can beat anyone with the way they have been shooting. Quote
