Can't believe the yard from scrimmage leader several years in a row, on top off his overall stats, seen him NOT be a first ballot HOF'er. Shame/Sham. Bout time Thurmal!

Well deserved.

Even with all his accolades, I still feel he was underrated. Should of been a first ballot HOFer.

he fit into an excellent system, if he was on a bad team he wouldn't have been all that much

Juice was 3 times the RB

Juice CARRIED the franchise to a playoff game, literally.

From BuffaloBills.com Top Seven Storylines for MNF against NE:

HALL OF FAMER IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Hall of Fame RB Thurman Thomas decorated career will be in the spotlight all week, as the Bills get set to retire his number 34 at halftime Monday night. He’ll join Jim Kelly and Bruce Smith as the only other Bills to get their jersey numbers officially retired.

Dozens of Thomas’ former Bills teammates are expected in town for a reception Sunday night and the ceremony at halftime. And ESPN is expected to spend considerable time during their pregame pump-up to honor “Thurm.”

It's a shame the number retirement is taking place on this night of all nights.

It would be great if the team could find a way to win this game.

As the Bills prepare to retire Thurman Thomas' number, Hall of Famers reflect on his rightful place in 'the legacy of 34'

By Tim Graham - The Athletic

There’s power within a jersey number. Some carry a mystique.

The first time Thurman Thomas pulled the No. 34 over his shoulder pads at Willowridge High, he wanted to channel his hometown hero, Houston Oilers running back Earl Campbell.

The final time Thomas took off his No. 34, he’d so comprehensively established his own legacy that no Buffalo Bills player would wear that number again.

No. 34 has been out of circulation since Thomas’ last game in 1999. The Bills on Monday night will make it official like they did with Jim Kelly’s No. 12 and Bruce Smith’s No. 78.

“It’s a great thing for Thurman Thomas that the Bills want to retire his number,” all-time NFL leading rusher Emmitt Smith said. “It’s well-deserved.

so the place empties out after the ceremony being down 35-3 at the half?

34-0 at the half.  The Pats will intentionally miss a PAT just to twist the knife a little bit.
