billsbackto81 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Well deserved. Even with all his accolades, I still feel he was underrated. Should of been a first ballot HOFer. 1
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Long overdue recognition. Tip of the cap ? Thurman. Loved collecting his cards that routinely boasted “total yards from scrimmage leader” in his prime
machine gun kelly Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Happy for him. He was fantastic back in the day.
ganesh Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 I wish it had been against the "Squish the Fish" !!

BuffaloBillyG Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Always felt Thomas was underrated. Playing at a time when Barry Sanders and Emmit Smith were will make that happen. Really helped make the versitle back popular.

WhoTom Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Good for Thurman! I'm sure that they want to do this on MNF to give Thurman a national stage, but geez, could they have picked a worse opponent for the event? I hate to be a downer, but it's likely that the game will be over by halftime.

Number retirements don’t happen all that often, so they usually get a mention / interview with the announcing crew.
Billsfanatic8989 Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Is there a reason this wasn't done already? Seems like a true great should've had his # retired immediately after retirement.
