WotAGuy Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 My wife and I just had a 90-minute intimate, spiritual conversation where she revealed some very personal and emotional spiritual experiences she has recently had. Now, she asked me if I want to go for a walk. WTF. It’s almost game time. But I feel like she’s really vulnerable and needs some attention. How can can I blow her off without being “that guy”? 1
Ol Dirty B Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I'm not married. But if you can DVR it, do it. I think you should go on that walk. 3

You got 40 minutes. Walk quickly. 1
Fadingpain Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Record the game, go for the walk, when your wife is more calmed down, watch the game on the DVR. A bonus here is you can FF through all pre-game BS, middle of game BS, post game BS, halftime, commercials, ads on the screen during the game, sideline reporter segments, and all the other BS that isn't part of the actual football game that I'm forgetting about. 1
1ManRaid Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I thought the thread was going to be about dropping $5k on the Packers. 1 4
CEN-CAL17 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Tell her you’d love to start a pre game walk with her every Sunday. But starting next Sunday. That way she’ll feel like you’re trying and setting things up to do together. But she needs to understand walks can’t happen during game time. It’s an unwritten rule!!!
JinxedBill1 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 It's a power play by her. Give her 30 mins and come back or record.
TSOL Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 While I'd love to make some smartass funny witty comment, I'll rsist the urge and leave those to the comedians on the board. The Bills are a TV show. Don't pick a TV show over your wife, DVR and go talk to her. 3
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Record and walk. Who doesn't have a DVR today? 1
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I'm not married, but if you don't go for that walk, you are in for some hard times.
Alphadawg7 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 What kind of car does she drive? All kidding aside...you married her for a reason, go be a good husband. Stay off TSW until you have caught up with the game when you get to fast forward through commercials from DVR the game to record the little bit you will miss.
IgotBILLStopay Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Not even close. Walk! Record if you can. If not, watch complete playback (by paying) on nfl.com (ps: dont peek into the score and spoil the surprise).

Do you have a treadmill at the house?
Herc11 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 You know the answer to this question. You're trying to find affirmation from people you don't know to blow her off. You're already being "that guy." 1
KW95 - JA17 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 If she loves you, She will understand....
WotAGuy Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 No DVR. Cut the cord. Do have a few days left on the Game Pass trial. Was hoping for some direction from teef. He seems like a role model around these parts.
