I'd take him in a second because of talent, but I don't like that he quit on his team

He didn't quit. He asked to be released and the team is granting his request.

The conditional pick in 2021?  They could do better.

I don’t know much about him  so I have no idea what his value is ,

but like some have already said  1) someone who quits on him team/no show for practice 2) asked to be released after negotiating a new contract

3) what does his ( NEW ) contract looks like $$$ ?

Rishard Matthews Requests Release from Titans

Matthews texted NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that the Titanshave told him they're granting his request and that he "would love to still play" somewhere.

The release is not official yet because there are some contractual issues, Pelissero added.

Matthews just signed a one-year extension with the team a few weeks ago.

Yes, 2012, 7th round pick

Had a career year for himself in Tenn in 2016, OK last year

Got an $8.7M cap hit but $5M salary

His contract is 8 million this year.  If we trade for him I believe the Bills would need to take on his salary.  Plus he just signed an extension.

So unless he is released I don't think the Bills can get him.

Bummer, I think he would have been a great addition.

His salary for this year is $5M.  But if he's released, a team can negotiate anything they want.

If you could have a convo with him and he was good with being in Buffalo then you take a late round flyer. My guess is the Pats will come calling.

Doubt he'll get many targets there with Gronk, Edelman, Gordon, Hogan, and James White.

You know the Pats though. They'll try to sell "winning" to him and who knows what you'll really get outside of White, Hogan, and Gronk. It's in their nature to at least test the waters. I hope it's in ours as well.

We will probably try out a 5th string D lineman or a Linebacker that can play special teams instead. We are trying to find out about a rookie Qb by giving him the worst WR group in recent NFL history. If there is any team in the league that should be aggressively pursuing WRs, it’s us. I just don’t expect it.

Can he handle Josh Allen’s balls?

Benjamin already does this or Josh wouldn’t throw a pass to him at all. ?

I mean they "could" for sure... but if they are going to flat out release him, why not trade him for at least SOMETHING.

I’d take a look. But I don’t think the organization will be too interested in a guy who has no agent, agreed to an extension, then asked for his release three games into the season, a few weeks after signing an extension...

No, we now have a QB who throws the ball to his WRs.

I will, with both hands (which is more than KB offers) and an open mo..... wait... we are talking about the same balls here right...
